Really, really early days.

But he's got a deflection, a tap-in and a header. He's in the right places, is in good form and has a knack for scoring. I get the feeling he just wants goals and isn't out for a highlights reel.

At this point he's surely first choice now. We're just over two weeks from that start of the season. That window to bring in someone more experienced before the first game is shrinking day by day but even if someone is brought in, they won't have much time to train with the squad, form relationships, etc.

So it's his to lose at the moment and he's currently passing every test he's been given.

For his development, having someone ahead of him may be better for him over the course of the entire season, just so there's not as much pressure on his young shoulders. But he looks good.

I'm trying not to go over the top but I've got high hopes.

With the amount of strikers at the club at the moment there's a good chance your 2nd choice

Once upon  a time we had a local lad from the academy who became a striker who had the knack of being in the right place at the right time. People said he was "lucky" and just a goalhanger etc. Didnt too bad for himself winning a world cup golden boot.

Not saying this lad will be the next Lineker, or anything like it, but right place, right time is all about making the right runs and reading the game. All essential traits that a decent striker needs

I remember my Dad saying he ( Lineker) will never be any good as long as he's got an hole in his arse after seeing him on the Star Soccer highlights of his debut.

My Dad also said we would never win the league all the way through 2015 to 2016 season .

He also said I know you won't like to hear it but Spurs will win the Prem the season after.

The old "Profit  Of Doom " Lol.

Sounds as miserable as every other Leicester fan then

In contrast my dad said he could see he was going to be a star from his debut lol

I can remember after an fa cup game against Carlisle where we won 1-0 as we walked back to the car some women absolutely slating Lineker because he missed a few chances. Can also remember someone saying to my dad once that he “only scores because he’s there”.

Even back then, one of the best strikers England have ever produced and people slated him lol

What's he like for pace and acceleration?

Didn't really get to evaluate it against Cadiz.

He's not rapid but his movement, timing and desire to get to the ball is excellent.

Sounds like he’s going on loan to Cheltenham.

Jon Palmer very in the know at Cheltenham.

You'd have to assume we're planning to get at least two strikers in.

That has surprised me a lot. Presume Opoku will be sticking around then unless we bring 2 more strikers in.

As much as I am in favour of us trying to scout hidden gems in obscure foreign leagues, I can't entertain the thought that Bristric will be the only striker we sign.

Good move for him that. Has impressed in preseason but not sure he is quite ready yet. Better for his long term development to be playing regular football.

Would also rather use someone like Hutchinson as 3rd choice ST. As he is probably slightly too young to go on loan, so 1st choice striker for the U21’s, but training  with the first team and getting some minutes in the cups etc makes sense.

Only concern is Russel has only used him out wide so far…

Indicators suggest RM feels he has something but isnt quite the finished article, I guess its the justification of the Cullen arrival, the Bristric imminent arrival, would it be we are bringing in another to surprise us? makes you wonder who it might be and at what cost

Cheltenham are a great club, with a really supportive fan base. Went to Uni there so go to watch them semi often with mates there, looking forward to seeing his progress.

Think it’ll be great for him.
