Errm, he has seen other people on the thread who have also not watched Cullen play post their opinions on the signing. So I think he has more than enough knowledge now to have an opinion… right?

But if you or others haven't seen him play, but go on varied opinions from Swansea fans, how can you make such a sweeping statement. I'll judge a player after 10 to 12 games and see if he's making an impact before writing him off before he's kicked a ball.

I did take a quick look at his scoring stats. He's clearly not a prolific scorer of goals as a Striker do we need to know more., remember Daka.

I really have no idea what he will bring to the team/club. I do get a sense that RM knows and has worked with him before so sees a quality that we’re missing or need. If we pair him with Chaplin then we might have a similar forward line to Nuge and Vardy, albeit not the same quality. 
 

Maybe RM has seen a gap in the players mentality or work rate and has identified Cullen as a player to fill that void. According to google (bookmark this and pelt me if it’s wrong), he’s a hard runner and someone who works hard for his team, drops deep and likes to make runs to open up space for teammates. 

If he does sign I’ll support him, and hope he does well. Our forward line can’t get much worse than the previous year.

No, I don't know anything more, that's why I'm not making judgement until I've seen him play. Yes, he could be another Daka, Edouard or Caranza or conversely another Steve Claridge or David Speedie. All I'm saying is let's wait and see.

He's more likely to be one of the first three, Definitely not Claridge or Speedie who both played at the top.

No it wasn't , I genuinely don't know anything about him as a player other than I seen his scoring stats.

 

And given our record in signing Strikers in recent seasons this seems like another disaster, unless he brings something different.

I’m on your side mate, I don’t hate the singing, so long as we haven’t paid a stupid fee and thrown silly wages at him.

 

I like what I’ve seen from us in preseason and if Martin thinks he will help implement his ideas and get us back up to the championship then I am prepared to see how it goes and will reserve judgement until then.

Scored about 1-in-3 under Martin, generally seems to get anywhere between 8-10 goals in a division that's higher than ours - and plays a variety of positions, not just out-and-out striker. Seems alright to me?

There seems to be this idea that he's being brought in as our main striker, marquee signing - which I don't think holds up particularly? Seems more like a relatively cheap utility signing to me, has a bit of experience to help guide the younger lads. Martin seems to want the right attitude in any players he signs first and foremost, which is not a bad thing. I do think we're going to be mostly going for free transfers and loans, but think we will spend modest amounts of money on the right signings.
