Hopefully he's a success, but, seems he's more of a AM, or wide forward with no pace

His best attribute is holding the ball up, but not prolific enough to be a centre forward.

Ayew in disguise.

My biggest concern though is that we aren't signing players with resale value.

Yep. All the incoming fees are going to steady the ship financially (or to Maquarie)

It really is last chance saloon to get up and stay up, we're running out of family silver.

Hopefully Seagrave products will play a big part in our future

Just watched his goals reel, a lot of cutbacks and crosses in there.

To get the best out of him we need wingers either side that can beat a man and get to the byline, hopefully Watson gets announced soon which’ll give us another wide option,

I wouldn’t be surprised if Riley Carr features a lot this season. Quick, direct and looks like he backs himself 1 v 1 - would be great to see a young lad flying down the wing!

We have a lot of youth with resale value (Page, Alves, Aluko, Braybrooke and others).

The question I have is what senior players will be left?  Thomas, Hamza, Okoli, Skipp?  We do need some experience.

I just want a squad that is somewhat harmonious, works hard and generally gives fans a reason to come t with them.

Don't want to have to break it to you but the contract situation for all of those does not put us in a strong position.

I'm really concerned that Braybrooke and Aluko have a year left, I'm hoping the club has a extra year option on both?

A lot riding on this season, building something that these young talents believe in and want to be a part of

Take into account the number of twats on here who post ridiculous claims of how much we are paying for a player or the fact that they’re still on 80k. Then ask yourself how likely this is to be true.

With our track record? Yeah I'd say it's palatable.

If getting Swansea hand me downs isn't embarrassing enough, we're paying a reputed total of 3M for it. It's too expensive especially since we dont have a pot to piss in. I don't think we've learnt anything from the Ayew/Winks debacle.

I think it’s down to promising the manager, we seem to do this all the time, an illogical move that is just to please the manager … simply because top was born without a backbone

I’ve no doubt this could be an awful signing, as the vast majority of our recent recruitment has been. But the club a player’s at, or them being deemed surplus to requirements there, really isn’t a cause for embarrassment. Our Premier League title winning squad featured Leeds, QPR, Forest, Stoke, Man United, Villa, Swansea and I guess you could say Sheffield Wednesday ‘hand me downs’, other clubs can be stupid too. Let’s let him play a little bit of football for us before we start ripping into him.

If we pay £3m then that means we’ve gone up and he’s done the job.

Reading what Swansea fans have said on X, his biggest attributes are pressing and working hard, in which case I'm definitely behind this signing. Scored important goals also and is used to a higher level, I think it's a good signing. I think Martin wants a young energetic fit team which will outrun opponents and press teams high.

There's no point appointing a manager and then saying fvck you you're not having any signings that you want. You have to back the man. He knows what he wants to play the way he wants. He wants to press and Cullen does that brilliantly. He wouldnt have even come here if that wasn't one of the stipulations. We've raised about £45 million and spent probably about £1m on this guy it's hardly a big deal.

I hate this negative shit before we have even kicked a ball.

I agree, and I don't think he can be much worse than some of the dross we've seen in a LCFC shirt over the last two years.

Why's he look like he's queuing for Glastonbury?

He got tickets to Glastonblaby as part of the deal

if I had a top quality player for every time somebody said that on this forum, then I would have a squad of top quality players…

The idea that they'll sell for the kind of money Barnes and KDH did or have their level of career is also pretty naive.
