At least we get to keep Nelson now…

For him to sit in the stands and sign for someone like Middlesbrough on a Bosman in January. Fantastic.

Yeah it was tongue in cheek. Alluding to the fact certain connected people suggested that with Nelson off the table we’d have to sell a different youth prospect as we’d already planned on getting cash for Nelson. Seems they were correct.

Nah. The injury to Nelson puts big pressure on Nelson to sign a new contract. He's not gonna be fit until his current one runs out. It would be a massive risk for him not to sign, and a real kick in the teeth to LCFC, which will treat him back to health. A kick in the teeth which I can't see him willing to give us tbh

This is what life in League One gets you, this will become the norm over the coming years, build up young talent, talents then get poached by the big boys, rinse and repeat.

Page was always going to leave, if not this summer then next summer.

Best case scenario is that they loan him back for the season.

Worse case scenario, he gets replaced with Joe Aribo on a free transfer.

Mad if we can get double the Monga fee for Page...

The only difference would've been a couple of mil more on his fee if he played more.

Once we dropped out of the PL, this was always going to happen. In League One we have no chance of holding on to this type of talent.

its all on what the club value him at, theyll want at least the same sort of deal they got for Monga, maybe even more in terms of fee and sell on %

That's gonna happen anyway - difference is we get less money in our current position.

All clubs have this issue, even the very top ones now as the gentleman's agreement between them has been broken so they're poaching from each other as well.

As far as I’m concerned, he doesn’t actually currently start for us. If we get a decent fee and a sell on clause, send him on his way and wish him the best.

Doesn’t really bother me, I look at the squad and think it’s not really affected by his departure.

So good that we are losing the interesting and exciting players so we can keep the dross everyone not on Facebook is bored of watching.

More and more consequences of our rapid fall through the league.

Monga, Nelson and Page should be the foundation of our future.

Now they're getting picked off like that we're Burton Albion.

My feelings exactly. Money not for a rebuild either just to pay stupid wages and stupid debts.

If we were selling him for 4m he would have already gone.

Will be 10 - seems to be our magic number

We would be due compensation.

Who offering him a decent contract before he shows his recovered?

A Blackburn and Birmingham fan at the offices predicted this to me. Said every prospect you create be quickly pass onto the next club in super quick time. Once the cash is dried up, this is how clubs have to operate without those parachute payments
