But we insist on gifting teams easy goals, I dont see that going away. 

 

We also struggle to create clear cut chances.

 

Put those two things together and I can only see a season of pain.

Tbh a free hit againgst PL opposition....we did alright 1st half! He has to play the kids moving forward....1st half team with a couple of tweaks.......sack off Skipp, Okoli, Souttar, Faes.....

I love our academy lads and young loans but playing with them is the most frustrating thing ever , regardless,get some Cbs and make sure Cullen is banished from the squad and let's win the league

we played well, especially first half, but still never really looked particularly dangerous, which is a concern. Some work to do in the window. Burns and Cullen look like concerning additions.

Result didn't matter for me today, we are too light in depth to be worrying about a good cup run, we need all our energy for the league. Thought we played well today, few error but this team should start next match. 
Dropping the CBs improved us 10-fold. 

Martin got most of it right today, today was about performance and confidence, and in that we looked good. Completely different team today.

Not many teams in league 1 will be as clinical as Ipswich. We actually played out from the back much better despite a few errors still.

Looking forward to seeing Howell when hes fully match fit.

Played relatively well and will benefit from having actual CBs on the pitch who can pass the ball when they have been signed. Aluko has shown his ability to play there to a good standard tonight though.

 

Howell looks a player, Page was excellent last 5 mins aside. Braybrooke tidy.

 

I was very wrong to defend the Cullen signing. He’s shite.

3-1 flattered them. 

 

Starting line up was surprising but players actually did well. 

Played some nice stuff, good build up and lacked a bit of killer instinct. 

 

Howell is quality, has to start regularly. 

 

Just further emphasises how average Skipp, Okoli and similar are, and how they hold us back.

Some good football, some mistakes, still a lack of cutting edge.

 

But Chaplin looks a leader.

 

We still need 2 x CB, 1 DCM and a CF.

 

Need to pick the right side.

 

Cullen, Burns not offering enough.

We did ok, basic errors at the back which cost us and very light weight going forward. Desperate for another forward and a couple of decent centre backs. 

It's going to be very difficult to win games if we keep gifting goals.

I'm trying to figure out why bringing Cullen and BDC for Chaplin and Bristric seemed to have such a negative, immediate effect.

Chaplin looked decent, as for Martin's other permanent signings...... I'm going to be polite and say there's room for improvement.

 

We should be targeting a keeper before the end of the transfer window, I'd say it's a priority. Jakub and McCarthy are both terrible

Aluko currently our best CB. Luke Thomas probably 2nd.... 

 

Good performance, lot of heart. We must never see Skipp or Okoli ever again.
