I know people like to mock but he’s 20 and never been out on loan in men’s football, this will be good for him and who knows he could come back after a season like Braybrooke did in Lge 2

If one transfer could encapsulate everything that went drastically wrong with the club after our modern era of success, and indeed football in general, it’s his move from Chelsea to us.

I don't think anyone is mocking the lad himself, rather the ridiculous situation.

I think they are in the transfer rumours thread…I mean how does anyone who sits at home and goes out to their job which isn’t at Seagrave confidently say he’s ‘x’ standard at best without ever seeing him in snr football 🤷‍♂️

I almost feel sorry for him as it felt very much like an FFP fudge, hopefully he’ll find his level and play some football

i suspect we’ve paid him far too well though

There was a poster on here recently, I shall not name for embarrassing them as they are hardcore KP. They were raving about Rudkin getting ‘profit’ for KDH. Bear in mind he was an academy player so anything is profit! But also completely ignoring that what we got for KDH, minus about £5 mill off because of this transfer at the same time.

The fee was a PSR fiddle for Chelsea.

Putting that to one side Golding has played for England at most age brackets.

There is a chance he could still develop into a decent player.

Although whilst we haven’t sold Golding yet we could potentially sell for more than €5m in the future who knows how things will pan out, 5m means we sold KDH for 35m€ anything more let’s say it’s €10m then would people say we sold KDH for €40m and say good job?

How much do we want for KDH?

We sold for higher than MV minus Goldings fee so MV, interestingly his MV dropped lower after his disappointing Chelsea stint but back to what we sold him at.

I get MV is a baseline and of course he would go now for more than that but that would also be attributed to other factors.

Why is KDH always brought up to hit this lad?

You know we’re desperate when we open a thread for Michael Golding to go to Shrewsbury on loan.

Just desperate for the rep points.

Don't think I've read any positive reports about him from followers of the academy. Braybrooke on the other hand was always touted to do well.

Hopefully he goes and flourishes but I'm really not expecting much.
