Looked like a team with relegation written all over it until those two goals. Hopefully the goals will be a catalyst for better things. Won't hold my breath though.

As bad as McCarthy is with his feet, I care more about his shot stopping. So until he starts letting in easy chances, I'll put up with him. But we really could do with someone who's better with their feet.

When we add the players we've bought today we'll look a lot better. Even more so when they've all gelled.

Going forward we look fine, thought Howell was really poor, hopefully the goal gets him going.

Alves, page and braybrooke class as per usual.

The only thing thats going to cost us this season is this dogmatic approach to playing out from the back with incapable players, honestly that pass from mccarthy to thomas when he was surrounded by 3 players was beyond parody of this brand of football. What on earth was mccarthy thinking....not sure ive got a year of him in goal in me.

He’s clever off the ball, spent a while last few games just watching him. His movement regularly makes space for others. Good physicality about him too, puts himself about. He just needs a goal, get a bit of confidence. Like the look of him.

I’ve seen exactly the same.

Yes, there’s things he can work on, but you shouldn’t be expecting the finished article from a signing like this.

That was a mixed bag. Massively frustrated by the ref and our so called playing it out from the back, but some of the attacking showed some promise. When it clicks, it can become fun.

Page is such an upgrade on Skipp despite quite a few misplaced passes. Love all the youngsters.

But why oh why playing it our from the back with McCarthy. Seems completely suicidal.

“One of the better clubs” apparently

But we were dire against MK. And they're one of the worst clubs, apparently

Page is just so good. Constantly showing for the ball, always on half turn and has pace to get away from their midfield.

Makes a mockery of his absence last season unnecessarily.

I'd love to say him and Alves are the future but there's no way Page stays in summer.

Does Alves get to claim his goal lol

I love seeing that half turn because it means no back pass to Thomas.  It gets us forward so much quicker and the wingers can find space.

No we didn’t, get a grip. We looked the more skilful and dynamic team - their only opportunities came from our mistakes, we had some good chances from lovely build up play.

Bobby does look like he is a popular part of the group if you watch the celebrations.

He might be a bit shite but it’s always endearing to see someone who looks like they actually want to be here and is genuinely happy when we score. Should be the bare minimum, but my goodness we’ve had some absolute twats play for us in the past few years.

I genuinely can't remember the last time I cheered a Leicester City goal like the second one. My body doesn't know what's happened to it

I woke my kids up and told them to F off after the 2nd, I had no control over what I was doing

Same, but our manager will play a way that ensures he's exposed so it just can't be overlooked.
