Having a preference for the nationality of the person you want to run the football club is ****ing weird.

 

I want it to be a Leicester City fan who genuinely cares about the football club, I couldn’t care less where their mother dropped them off.

Had the same thought when I read the post. A person's nationality has no bearing on what kind of owner they would be. 

 

I just want someone to come in and ensure that first and foremost, we still have a club to support in the coming years. I don't care if they're British,  Thai, Middle Eastern etc...

My gut is wanting a British consortium, but I'm really not sure who would be available that would have the sort of money needed to fix this mess. I'd imagine it would be an Arab takeover. As long as it's not American, nothing against Americans but their sports industry is even more broken than ours. 
I'd still be content with Red Bull selling up their share in Leeds and taking over us. Huge concern over club name/badge, don't care about stadium name. 
The UK does have some hoops to go through to get a name change through, the FA has pretty strict regulations which protect a clubs heritage. Strong fan opposition I'd imagine would make it almost impossible for us to suddenly become "Red Bull Leicester" They would need written permission from the FA. I'd like to think they would listen to mass fan protests if that was attempted. 

Give me RB over a Todd Boehly style consortium for sure.

I can't imagine our fan base would be able to muster any kind of meaningful protest !

How they fund it and treat the purchase afterwards is likely to be affected by the nationality of some of the purchasers.  The American business profile for example I'd suggest is different to the Thais and Indians. Also the civil liberties of various countries varies quite a lot and may influence your preference.

We're not even close to being bought IMO. The vultures will circle and wait for the club to be prised out of Aiyawatt's cold dead hands. Similar to Sheffield Wednesday.

The recent batch of Americans have tended to be pretty good e.g Bournemouth, Birmingham and one of Wrexham's owners. East Asian owners have historically been quite poor with Vichiai being the exception and Carson Yeung, Jeff Shi, Top, Vincent Tan and Chansiri being poor. Arabs have been a mixed bag, huge success with PSG and Man City but Sheff United have been all over the placed and Fawaz was inept.

 

There's exceptions of course but the business and sporting culture of the nations producing billionaire football club owners naturally has an impact on their style. It's not randomised.

American ownership thats where alot of interest at the moment. Not a hollywood takeover more just American buisness who likely owns an nfl or baseball team aswell.

 

Personally would sooner go back to British ownership but as we know theirs no money in British ownership these days.

My wish would be for anyone who is prepared to develop a genuine attachmemt to the club and supporters, and who has sufficiemt nous to employ people with real football acumen to direct the management & development of the club.
