That bench is absolutely fine if you're cruising and want a load of options to save the legs of the starting XI and accept you're finished offering a threat. I worry if there's a need to freshen up the side and change a game, there's literally not a single player there I'd look to. Surely there's room for a Howell or Bristric rather than 4 cloggers for 2 positions across the midfield?

Howell could be useful if we start picking up injuries.

The 7 options on the bench really doesn’t do any favours for our academy. Squads just too big for there to be any room.

He really doesn’t want his mates to be left out the squad, huh. If we need 4 attacking midfielders and a winger who cant run, then we’re all set.

Ravizzoli, Kangasniemi, Smallbone, Burns, Howell, Chaplin, Bristric.

 

Plenty of cover for most positions and all states of the game.

maybe having more than 5 proper footballers on it, and not having 57% of it be all the same position.

 

Like take out Cullen, Bob the nob and replace them with Bristric and Aluko and all of a sudden we've got actual cover in each position and aren't playing shit cams up front if Riis gets injured after 10 minutes

Chaplin will be fine…….been pretty much injured since arrival…….two weeks ago we were shocking8 days later we should bet on winning the league……

Feels like a big game. Win it and we may have genuinely turned a corner- Brussell might win a few over and we go into two home games with a more positive and supportive atmosphere.

People are saying the line up looks good but disappointed with the bench which is fair enough. It’s not negative, it’s balanced.

 

For me, Cullen, BDR and Chaplin are too similar. Really we shouldn’t have signed Cullen and Chaplin as well as having BDR on the books. It is a waste of resources.

 

In terms of differences. I’d have Bristvic on the bench. At least he’s a natural striker and he won’t come good with no minutes. Another bad signing if we aren’t even going to try and get something out of him.

 

I think Howell also offers more than Burns so would have him there as at least he he might change the change if we needed it.
