The Kitchen. On Netflix, definitely worth a watch.

Fall. Two young climbers climb a 2000 feet radio tower. Very good movie that made me feel uncomfortable the whole way through.

Sacred Cow. The documentary that Netflix strangely sat on for a year then deemed it too controversial to take. Seems to make a really good case for regenerative agriculture and the eating of good quality meat.

The Rhythm Section - decent revenge thriller 7/10

Supernatural chiller set in Macedonia in the 19th century.

I couldn't take my eyes off it. It works on so many levels, from the basic storyline itself, to the themes running through it about community, family, loss and superstition.

 

Directors debut too - a brilliant film.

Black Phone

Not a bad movie.  I enjoyed the setting of the late 70s.  Thought the actors did good and the movie was captivating.  Just don’t know if I’ll ever watch it again.

Slow at times, but I was captivated and didn’t want to turn it off.

I hope its real prosthetics and not just a CGI head. Can't really tell from that.

Watched 'I came by' on Netflix over the weekend. It's a decent film to be fair Hugh Bonneville playing the bad guy takes a little to get used to!

Emily The Criminal with Aubrey Plaza, never heard of it but really enjoyed it

Watched the new Elvis film last night, really enjoyed it and the guy playing Elvis, Austin Butler, smashes it as well

 

The accent by Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker can be a bit hard to understand at times (although may just be my crap hearing) but another good role by him

Annette is a really cool watch. A real off-the-wall, mash-up of styles and genres. Theatre told almost as opera, verging into rock opera and musical and filmatically referencing so many others films and styles; silent movie melodramatic noir... you get the sense of a piano player accompaniment in the cinema! Music (and appearances) by Sparks. I sense it'll be a marmite film (love it or hate it) but I loved it. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time.

Woof. Thirteen Lives had me choked up a bit. Very powerful.

Speak No Evil, slow burn horror with a very grim ending 7/10
