Does your partner think the same?

Am sure they both appreciate your and your partner'/wives' presence and help, and will do so more when they're grown up.

I feel pretty similar. It's a hard thing to admit without sounding like you don't love your children, and I absolutely do with all my heart. But like you, if I had my time again I wouldn't have children.

Oh they appreciate and it's no fault of their own. More to do with myself. I'm not the most resilient person and struggle with my mental health sometimes.

When things go wrong (both born premature, eldest been in intensive care with pneumonia twice,  development issues for my youngest) the worry completely takes over. I've become increasing fragile mentally since they've been born and find most of my time is consumed by worry.

As I said, love them more than anything but the constant worry has taken a massive toll.

Weather is great.

Going to watch FC Dallas take on DC United tonight, and a fireworks show afterwards - taking my family with me.

Should be a great July 4th! (or as you Brits call it “Good Riddance Day). :)

I forgot to wish you a lovely evening, I'm so sorry  Enjoy your evening celebrating independence from civilisation ;)

Can’t tell if you’re riled up or not - it was posted in jest.  Not meant to upset anyone

Not riled in the least! I was jesting too.

(But many a true word and all that.)

(I wasn't jesting about the have a good day bit, I meant that.)

I can't begin to imagine.

We've been lucky enough, so far, touch wood, that nothing major's gone wrong with ours, and we still worry. All the time.

All you can do is what you can, and it's obvious (you wouldn't worry so much otherwise) that you're doing that and more.

Yeah - although when they first started out, they played in Dallas.

We also have ‘Dallas Cowboys’ - they are in Arlington.  Before that, they were in Irving.

So,  Wayne Rooneys (didn’t realize he was the manager) DC United won 1-0

Who knew FC Dallas was such a bad team.  Oh well, at least there were fireworks.

My 6yr old granddaughter enjoyed her first match.  She decided that she wanted DC to win since they had already scored.
Now that’s out of the way, hopefully I can take her to see Mexico play at Cowboy Stadium next year……and then on to the World Cup!

I understand you not wanting to go to Wales - but what's wrong with the lowlands of Scotland?

Would love to spend more time in Scotland, it's beautiful. And I get paid well to go there!

Moved house yesterday  very tired now but happy to be back in the Midlands again. Up in chesterfield which is really nice. Haven't dared wear my leicester shirt yet but I'm sure it will be fine. Only other shirt I have seen so far was chesterfield fc and that was on a child, I reckon I could have beat him in a fight. :D

Yeah I’ve heard there’s a bit of a heat wave out there.

I’m fair skinned so I’m gonna absolutely fry out there

Have a great time mate.
