Teeing off soon for round 1 of our golf club championships. 125 have entered and only the top 30 qualify for tomorrows second round. Tense, nervous...

and I turned 50 today. Feeling proper old now

Good luck with the golf, and Happy Birthday :kissing:

Nearly went to this without a child last week but didn’t want to look like a paedo, my sister went with her kids the next day and said it’s good.

You would have definitely had some dodgy looks haha.

Come on @Izzy, did you make the cut?

Find out around 6pm mate when everyone's done.

Definitely won't make the top 30 gross with an 86!

There's also a day 2 competition for the top 45 nett and I might just squeeze in with a nett 76

My Mrs has decided its time to renovate the bathroom.

Great.

Spent the best part of a grand today and I've got to do everything myself.

I've only just recovered from doing the kitchen.

Swapping out a throne is one of life's great chores.

It's staying. Although it'll be raised slightly as I tile underneath it.

I've already fitted a vanity unit with a basin today.

There goes a bank holiday weekend of golf.

Thankfully, we have a second bathroom downstairs, complete with shower, so I don't need to rush lol

I have this to look forward to.

Mrs Para has decided we are getting rid of the bath/shower and just having a shower.

This means the entire existing floor and wall tiles have got to removed which means removing toilet and handbasin and then re-tiling.

She's happy to get a plumber in to re-direct pipework and waste, but the rest is down to me :nono:

It's just the worst job in the world. The gagging from removing the old cludgie, the terror of rusty water appearing from a crevice you'd not dried when it's the in the car and then having to effing pay at Mountsorrel tip for some reason. Last one really is salt in the wound.

Slightly miffed. We were asked to take care the sister in laws 13 week old pup for Saturday and Sunday while they went away with her partners family for the weekend, no bother they have ours and got us a voucher for a local restaurant as a thanks. Well Saturday turned out to be a Friday drop off, roughly 3pm, and Sunday has turned into sorry we won’t be back until gone 1pm Monday. We’ve done nothing this weekend and now not going to get much chance tomorrow.

You get to look after a dog though so that’s pretty good

I was asked to look after the s-i-l's pair one afternoon. It eventually grew to the wife automatically saying yes every time...and me being a free dog sitter four four holiday week/fortnight blocks a year. No one apart from me appeared to see what a huge fvcking liberty this was. You wouldn't believe the ructions when I put my foot down and declared 'enough'. Apparently, I am an unreasonable and selfish man for not being happy to look after the yappy things.

Send the dog over to a friends house for a few hours and pretend it got lost. Then go for a walk looking  near your mates house. When you get close, text him to let the dog outside and let her find him. She wont ask again lol

Got some friends and their kids staying for the weekend and my wife played an absolute blinder by suggesting the Retro Computer Museum as something for us all to do.

What a brilliantly bonkers place. I go in and the first thing I see is a ZX Spectrum with Jetpac loaded on it, and I'm transported back 40 years just like that.

And yes, I was still amazing at it

Can definitely relate, although it is the girlfriend who has said enough. I’m not getting involved and just vent frustrations on here where I can’t get in trouble
