Strange weekend for me this one. Got made redundant on Friday and tonight had my first date in a long time after a really rough time recently. Life is relentless eh

My Mrs has decided its time to renovate the bathroom.

Great.

Spent the best part of a grand today and I've got to do everything myself.

I've only just recovered from doing the kitchen.

We have suddenly got new toilet seats. August bank holiday must do something to women.

Phase one is complete.

I've had to send a family group WhatsApp saying:

"The upstairs bathroom is closed for major renovations, expected to be completed by Autumn 2023. The downstairs bathroom is unaffected. Apologies for any inconvenience."

It's been a busy weekend so I decided to sit down and catch-up on the World Athletics Championships today.

I must admit that I was quite impressed with the USA women's 4 x 100m team's tribute to a late, great British comedy actor.

That's going to go over a lot of people's heads on here.

Absolutely amazing. My daughter has moved over to Spain to live with us, to say I'm delighted is a complete under statement :D

Meanwhile, I’m counting the days until my daughter moves the fvck out back to university.

Great, after a fantastic long weekend doing the usual touristy things in Rome. Boarded the plane and was stuck on it for 6 hours before it moved an inch! Looking at twitter though we're lucky to be sleeping in our own bed tonight rather than an airport floor.

A whole month today without a cigarette.

Yes, I'm vaping instead, but it's a really shit one that doesn't make a massive smoke cloud.

Costs me a fiver a month instead of 12 quid a day.

I'm quite proud of myself.

Just need to stop vaping now lol

Every time you think of vaping know that you owe @Strokes a reach around. Incentive to not vape!  Orrrrrr if you love it well... lol

How was my (last 2/3) day(s)? Started to ache like buggery on Sunday evening, couldn't do much Monday so took it steady. knowing I had a professional engagement yesterday lunchtime. Had to travel to Peterborough via North Leics and was freezing in my car. Got to P'boro and took a covid test, which was negative. Sweated my balls off overnight, concert was pretty tricky because my fingers felt like sausages. Drove home yesterday evening, got into bed, where I was so cold that when I got up to find layers, my hands and arms were shaking uncontrollably - which made taking a leak interesting. Found said layers and got to sleep, and of course woke up absolutely soaked through in sweat. All this accompanied by a strange little twinge in my diaphragm region. Nothing else had much happened symptom-wise, but no surprise that the lower sluice gate has now opened up very liquid.

I cannot decide if I want this to be Covid or not. Either way, it's bloody unpleasant and not the best timing.

I picked it up last Friday having an MRI scan. Symptoms started the following day, not dissimilar to what you are describing. Have you tested again?
