They're better off not working for him tbh. And those that continue to work for such an arsehole of a boss are either desperate or have no morals.

Or they can't find anything else and have mouths to feed and a roof to keep over their heads?

Bit simplistic, this? Especially in this current environment where jobs are being lost left, right and centre. I wouldn't even call it 'desperation'. A job is a job and it's better than people scrounging or feeling sorry for themselves, even if it is just temporary?

Anyone who goes in a Wetherspoons after the way that **** Tim Martin treated his staff during lockdown, deserves free shit sent to their table not free food.

Wetherspoons offers me cheap beer, before a game or before a nightout, so why would I go to another pub for the double the price when it's exactly the same pint.

No chance I'm staying away from Spoons just because of their owner.

If I went with the mentality of "I'm not using them because their owner is a bastard" then there'd be loads of companies I would stop using. I don't particular like Branson, and the way he runs some of his business, but that wouldn't stop me taking up a transatlantic flight with Virgin Atlantic if it was cheaper than another airline.

Best example is probably Amazon.

But where do people draw the line. Pretty sure most owners of popular companies in the world have some cvnti-ness about them.

When someone mentions the work 'cancer' in a topic that has no links at all with the horrible disease. Have noticed it a few times.

The word doesn't just mean the disease though, so there's nothing wrong with that

Yeah that's fair enough. But when an owner deliberately comes out in public and tells his staff to get fvcked, I draw the line.

Maybe for the managers etc, but for the rest it's just a bar job. Maybe there isn't loads of them about at the minute but there's definitely plenty of supermarket work around if you have nothing else.

Perhaps their jobs are secure, though? Perhaps Supermarkets won't stay as busy as they have been forever, or won't offer as many hours? It really isn't that easy just to hop around jobs for some people. As Stan has said, I think you're massively over simplifying tbh.

Network Rail deciding Sunday night at 10:30pm is the perfect time to clear overgrown trees from the railway line near my flat.

That's your penance for being dismissive about religion on the other thread mate. That's why they're clearing the trees at this 'ungodly hour' :D

Probably best to do it then as opposed to during the day affecting the timetable and more trains...

I'm sure we've just had 4 months with a reduced timetable, but what do I know lol

I meant that there's gonna be more trains during the day regardless lol

Might as well do it on an empty track below them as well, no?

People who press the pedestrian crossing button when there is literally nobody on the road but me.

Certainly agree with this one.

On the other hand though: I walked towards the crossing near Bow Bridge and there were about 10 people waiting to cross as I joined them.

I waited..... and waited..... and waited some more. These lights are taking an age to change I thought when I noticed, no one had even pressed the button.

It worse when you have pressed the button but somebody comes up from behind you and presses it again, because they think you might not have pressed it right.

Anyone that has tried to cut their own hair during lockdown will tell you it's not as easy as it sounds. lol
