That’s been around for ages

The double standards in reporting the mass gatherings at Anfield and Bournemouth beach. One is understandable celebration, the other is risking health and being careless.

And here is a prime example:

It shouldn't grind my gears but it does; people wearing face masks when they're on their own in the open air with no one one within 100 metres of them, when on their own in a car, when the face mask is on but it's been pulled down to expose their nose. Pointless.

Had to laugh early on in lockdown saw a bloke in sainsburys with his facemask pulled down on his chin and a roll up cigarette in his mouth!

I agree, I've always found it quite odd and takes a bit more effort to write (on a phone at least) for bang average effect.

The big deal Sky and Liverpool fans are making about Man City giving them a guard of honour. It's a tradition done in the league, I don't get why it's such big news

'Cos it's Sky and Liverpool fans. Always trying to make an exaggeration of something that is nothing new, as if it's revolutionary.

Having internet activated in our new house and actually having to wait virtually the full 24 hours for it to actually be activated. That’s pissed me off today.

Is that with BT?

Always had that during my time (six years) with them.

No it’s with Vodafone. Had to transfer to the new house because we only renewed in March. Every time I’ve moved in the past has happened before 4 o clock at the latest. Making me want to disconnect and reconnect but they specifically asked me not to do that.

The holier than thou attitude of some people towards pubs and bars opening this weekend across the country. “All you’re bothered about is how the restrictions will affect you having a good time, maybe you should worry about catching the virus because that will be 10x worse. Is a pint worth dying? You wouldn’t catch me dead in a pub during this virus, I hope you can live with yourself when you infect all your family and you all cause a huge 2nd spike”

Just **** off. They’ve been opened back up for a reason. If you’re against going and you don’t want to visit a pub, that’s fine, but why do you have to tell everybody about it and make everybody else feel guilty about going? Just let people do what they want to do and take their own calculated risks. I don’t see the same people having objections to hair salons opening - the virus must not circulate there or in supermarkets or any other indoor public spaces that are open.
