Take Merson for what he is, a bit like Savage, he's entertaining but you're not going to be educated watching or listening to him.

Be thankful we don't have a bunch of Keowns on our screens...

I like how they CAPITALISE certain words including KILLED and AMAZED for MAXIMUM exposure of the SERIOUS NATURE to the reader.

Comparing a football to a cricket ball... lol

Also, Phil Hughes wasn't struck on the head, he was hit in the side of the neck.

Something similar will happen to 1 of our players this season and we'll all be screaming for the perpetrator to be banned.

Huth was very lucky not to be red carded for that on Saturday.

To think that guy was actually a referee....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe any footballer has ever been killed or even knocked out by a football?

Edit.. the only thing i can find is this but he's not even knocked out! just painful ball in the face  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/football/video-1034260/Football-funny-Ukrainian-keeper-knocks-player-ball.html

Right.

Goalkeeper kicks the ball high in the air and outfield players move towards it to head it.

Now get a cricketer to hit the ball in the air and get someone to head that.

Maybe he can demonstrate the similarities.

lol lol exactly

Huth probably should have been sent off for what he did. But it's ridiculous to suggest he could have been killed.

bit more complimentary than Merson:

"Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and Shinji Okazaki... How Leicester City became the Premier League's top BARGAIN HUNTERS"

Great read that, it seems that someone has finally done some research!

Interested to know who the 2 players who turned into internationals who we scouted were.
