The Bear Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Well if he will go into your first team and you aren't wiling to pay him £25k a week what does that tell you? Where does it say we aren't willing to pay that? Or that you are? No wage offer would be made until we agree a fee. It's all just rumours at the minute and I don't trust any of them when it comes to Wolves' transfer business as our cards are always played extremely close to our chest. The only official fact that we are sure of at this stage is that Reading rejected a Wolves' bid which they thought was short of their valuation. Everything else is pure speculation.
Walshy5 Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Id love this to happen above anyone else we,ve been linked with but seems to good to be true so i darent get to exited! Best CB in the Champioship imo! Mills and Mee would be an exellent partnership!!
STUHILL Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Bert can you confirm we have had a bid accepted for this guy?? I would be over the moon with this signing if we can pull it off
Craig Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Bert can you confirm we have had a bid accepted for this guy?? I would be over the moon with this signing if we can pull it off He has?
Stevosevic Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Bert can you confirm we have had a bid accepted for this guy?? I would be over the moon with this signing if we can pull it off I tink Bert confirmed a few pages back, can't be bothered to look though.
Callabinho Posted 1 July 2011 Author Posted 1 July 2011 We have agreed a fee, but obviously Wolves are going to come back, they allways do!
STUHILL Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 We have agreed a fee, but obviously Wolves are going to come back, they allways do! ahh ok thanks! Wasn't sure if it had been confirmed. Hopefully he knows he will get first team football here, but the lure of instant Prem action might sway him. I guess Reading still have outside chance of holding on to him too
Corky Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 If Wolves are spending up to £4 million on him I doubt they'll leave him on the bench.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 Quality player from the limited bits ive seen, heres hoping
ajthefox Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 The amount we're willing to pay for this guy and his wages worries me a little, he'd better be worth it.
Callabinho Posted 2 July 2011 Author Posted 2 July 2011 The amount we're willing to pay for this guy and his wages worries me a little, he'd better be worth it. Now that Williams is out of the league he is the beat defender!
Liamlcfc1 Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 £10M for Matt Mills http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2010620/Sven-Goran-Eriksson-spends-big-quest-join-elite-England-pair-list-Leicester.html?ito=feeds-newsxml Leicester's former England manager, Sven Goran Eriksson, is set to continue a remarkable spending spree at the Walkers Stadium.Bankrolled by Thai owner Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn, he has put together a £10 million package for Reading captain Matt Mills to see off Wolves and Stoke and is chasing England strikers David Nugent - a free agent after leaving Portsmouth - and Fulham's Andy Johnson. Peterborough's £3m Scotland striker Craig Mackail-Smith and £1.3m Ireland defender Sean St Ledger are also close to signing deals. Speaking about the club owners, Eriksson said: 'There is no limit at all - they want Premier League football.' sdb Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 Errr what? I'm assuming that's taking into account a lengthy contract on the £25/30k wages that have been documented?
Night Air Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 Around £10m for all of them more like. I would of thought so but it isn't worded like that in the article!
escos Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 4 year contract at £30k a week is about £6m plus the £4m fee is £10m
Callabinho Posted 2 July 2011 Author Posted 2 July 2011 4 year contract at £30k a week is about £6m plus the £4m fee is £10m Can't say no can he...
Haydos Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 4 year contract at £30k a week is about £6m plus the £4m fee is £10m Exactly. 10m just sounds more dramatic as a headline.
accessory Posted 3 July 2011 Posted 3 July 2011 It says package so that will probably include wages And maybe bonuses payable in the event of a set number of appearances, promotion, England caps etc..
Walshy5 Posted 3 July 2011 Posted 3 July 2011 What I cant undrstand is if there,s no limit as said why didnt we go in for Naughton?
