Fox92 Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Ian Stringer: "Bruno Berner has left #lcfc and retired from the game. Talent, endeavour and desire with no ego. 1 of the nice guys - pro" _____ He did a good job for Leicester in midfield and then at left back. And scored a couple of good and important goals too. Good luck, Bruno.
MattyFromLE Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Good luck Bruno! Absolute legend gave his best 100% of the time.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 If he's retired then why isn't he staying with us? He can coach them.
Happy Fox Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 I wouldn't say he is a legend but I agree he was a competent individual who was very professional on and off the pitch good luck Bruno in your future endeavors.
FuriousFox46 Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 I wouldn't say he is a legend but I agree he was a competent individual who was very professional on and off the pitch good luck Bruno in your future endeavors. Can we scrape him in to the 'Favoured Personnel' section on FM13?
Jimmy Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 seems like a successful manager in the future like Chrissy P has become so far, seems odd NP hasn't kept him on as a coach and Didi Hamann was never replaced
StanSP Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Why is it odd? Perhaps he wants to go back to family or to Switzerland (or both). Retiring from a football club where everyone loves you (in the main) doesn't mean they have to stay and coach just because that is what we want. Perhaps he wants a break from football . Anyway, I'll miss him a lot around the club. Seemed like a true gentleman. I hope one day he returns but for now I wish him all the best!
leicesterisme Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Best of luck Bruno in what you decide to do. Top professional, top footballer, top guy.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Best left back this side of the millennium. For us i mean. Hero
TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 What a legend, Good luck in the future Bruno!
Foxhateram Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 What a legend he is. A true proffesional, shame he has been left in the cold somewhat this season and last. Would have been nice to see him play out his career. Ah well, good luck to the man, he truly has been one a great credit to the club. Cheers Bruno
sphericalfox Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Could be something to do with this? Coincidence......I think not http://www.ents24.com/web/artist/109497/New_Kids_On_The_Block.html
Corky Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Cracking player on his day. Will always remember his goal against Forest. Best of luck Bruno
Fjällräven Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 It’s easy to wear out these terms, but I must give honour when honour is due. Bruno always seemed to be a role model professional, dedicated to his club and working his socks off on the field. You could always trust Herr Berner to get the job done. My impression is that he’s also a genuinely nice guy, a true gent, and people like that are rare these days. You will be missed, Bruno!
dannythefox Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 I love this bloke always had a great attitude and gave 100% every game. Still think he could do a job in league one but he's probably made the right the decision!
Kitchandro Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 He was immense in the play-off season. A cult hero of his time and easily the best left back since we left the Premiership. Will always have fond memories of him. His goal against Forest was a highlight, and him taking the first penalty in Cardiff - ice cool and I just knew he would stick it in. But above all I'll remember him replacing Mattock in league one and really showing him up. When Joe left for West Brom we were hoping Bruno would do the business in the Championship and he put in some great performances. Very quickly we knew we'd got a good deal. Cheers Bruno
NottsFox Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 BRUNO! BRUNO! Good luck to this guy in the future! What a legend.
ScouseFox Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 That run against Cardiff sums up his whole time here. Bruno! Bruno! Bruno!
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Seemed to be a very bright bloke both on and off the pitch. One of my favourite players of recent years and a consummate professional.
