Disagree with your point there I'm afraid, don't think St Ledger is a top six defender at all, he's probably the worst of the lot.

He was dog, but since he spat his dummy out over Christmas and got an unexpected opportunity due to a suspension for Mills followed by the latter's fallout with NP he's been really quite consistent.

Consistently playing in a defence that leaked 3 goals a game on the road. He has his good games but equally has his poor, I think we can do better. Shame because he seems to do better for Ireland than us but hmmm, I'm really unsure, not convinced but I'd be more than happy for him to get another chance next year and prove me wrong.

lol.

Is this the same St Ledger that is going to be playing in the biggest European Football tournament? Can't be that bad....

My thoughts on Sol are that he made a great start to his career here, and for me that clouds many peoples judgement on him. He might make greatest ditch tackles, but it's normally his mistake that's got us in that situation. Too unpredictable to play with too I think. You never know what's going to happen next with him.

I think it was Adam Pearson who was keen to stop any players going to Leicester and was quoted as saying "If Leicester were the last club in the world, we still wouldn't do business with them" and he's gone now. I'm not too sure what the Allams think but they strike me as the kind of owners that are happy to disrupt order to get their own way.

I also think this is total bollocks. Why on earth do people think we have any chance of signing Robert Snodgrass? If he does go anywhere it'll be a Premier League team. When your Leeds United's best player you don't join another Championship club.

This guy did..

Bear in mind that they are one of the few teams in this league who could take Beckford off our hands. As Ken Bates won't pay the fee we'd be asking, a player-exchange is the most likely form of deal.

What I don't understand is that he's spoken to another club and agreed terms ... surely the usual way of selling a player is for the buying team to approach the selling team to ask if he's available and agree a fee and then go about the player side of the deal.

As NP is all about doing business "the right way" i wonder how he's going to react to this???

He wasn't their best player by any stretch of the imagination and only left because for whatever reason, they thought Andy Lonergan would be a better choice. He's certainly a lot better now than he was last year.

My point isn't on how other clubs could do business, it's that why would Robert Snodgrass want to join Leicester, unless we were in the Premier League or running away with the league? Let's face it, Leeds aren't your run of the mill Championship club. He is Premiership quality and I'm sure if he is to leave, it will be a Premier League side that tempts him away like Bradley Johnson and Jonny Howson.

Good luck to him, was a quality player when on form.

Some stuff he did was crazily good, then some other stuff was scarily bad.

Think we just need a change at the back from him, and it's right to sell him, good player but right decision.

He's clearly been told that he is surplus to requirements and been told to find a new club.

Sounds like he's done just that

I'm so annoyed if this is true. He has so much potential and flashes of utter brilliance, which some premiership defenders could not reproduce.

But to be fair he's not NP's typical cb.

So if its true, good luck to Sol and I hope one day he will return to English football in the top tier.

The same St Ledger that has the worst record of the lot, the same St Ledger that's been regularly part of a shoddy defence and hasn't played well enough often enough, and hasn't been consistent in his form.

Who would you say is the worst of the lot?

Be sad to see Sol go if I'm honest, on his day he's a brilliant defender. I know he's got a fair bit of flair about him which can often get him on trouble too.

while I'll certainly miss him if he goes, I think if the move is right for him and us then I will wish him good luck where every he goes.

warnocker trying to buy on the cheap again lol,,,, ide love to see bamba given a center mid role or even a chance up front hes no way a defender but i think further up the park would be a great move

What possibly makes you think he could play up front?

Great news if true. Part of a defense no where near good enough to get us up near the top of the division. Should make a tidy profit on him too. Now if we can get rid of Mills for a couple of Million and Chester in we will be laughing.

Bad move for me although if we replace him with a real quality defender then maybe i'll be proved wrong.

This guy clearly has his moments but on his day is 100% a better defender than anyone we have.....

He's our best defender ? now that really is worrying.

I said on his day.... maybe not consistently which is his problem.

He has all the attributes to be a Prem defender plus he plays regularly for his country. I dont care what level Ivory Coast play at, they have quality players and he wouldnt be picked if they didnt think he was good enough.

SSL and Mills are both bang average

Sol could make the best defenders in the world look average.

And the on his day comment you could say about any player in any league. If any manager new what day was a players day we would piss this league. but would need a squad of 50 or 60.

On his day aint good enought unless on his day is 9/10 games.

He's not called Bomb Scare for nothing.

Surprisingly I'l disagree.

Best defender by far. as shown nationally and internationally. SSL isa non-league defender in comparison. (okay Haydos)

He doesn't suit NP's style of defending, I think he would be more suited in European football than the bog standard competitive championship. If we can get £2-3m than that would be a good return of investment.
