Happy Fox Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 I imagine he was another one of the Sven clan that came for the money, didn't particularly look anything special during his limited game time, Pelts has proven to be far better having said that he has gone of the boil in the past couple of months but that is due to not having any competition priority is to sign a RB which I am sure NP will do.
Out Foxed Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 haha quality not really, as i was taking the piss, you thicko
Father Ted Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 This guy genuinely was a cracking signing by Sven, some experience and was class when ever I had seen him in the Prem, also having a good influence on Schlupp... somehow went completely off the rails!
General Smuts Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 If there wasn't already 2 better RB's at Stevenage I'd take him there.
Jace Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 Out of all of Sven's signings I thought he would turn out 1 of the best
Tielemans63 Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 Forget that, just checked Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia....i/John_Paintsil
Fox92 Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 Good. Looked out of position everytime I saw him play. Not good enough and another ridiculous signing.
Raw Dykes Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 For his £25k a week, we might have only got a player for a few minutes of play, but at least we got this thread... http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/75875-pantsil/page__st__20
DeclanMC Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 So your basing that on one game?. As for worse than Akinbiyi, how have you possibly come to that conclusion? I do however concede that this was among the most pointless signings in my recent memory. TBF, bit of an exaggeration on my part, but picking up 25k-30k a week for close to no contribution over the entire season is pretty damn bad. At least Akinbiyi played regularly.
MC Prussian Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 I do wonder why he was never really played myself. Hardly ever featured under Pearson. How much of a fluke was the Malaria rumour, anyway? Could it be he was a bad influence, alongside Mills? Sad to see him go, I think he could've done wonders on the right. Peltier came up with too many mistakes going forward, neglecting his defensive duties and needed someone to learn from.
5waller5 Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 There's just got to be more than meets the eye with this one surely... As has been stated - he looked like a great signing on paper, and then just didn't feature. Could have been anything from depression to a fall out, homesickness?? Who knows and I guess we never will .... But seems hard to believe he wasn't good enough to be used more often with his previous CV. All the best to the bloke though. Shame we didn't get to see more of him.
Big Dave Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 yeah, brilliant servant... collecting all those premiership wages for a total of about 3 and a half minutes of football He'll never be forgotten Worthington - Weller - Lineker - Walshie - Paintsil Not his fault he hasn't been played much. He has been a good servant for the club in that he has always remained professional, and has not had the bad press that some players have.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 Wasn't given a chance, shame really because I dont rate Peltier. No point having big wages not even in the match day squad so not too fussed about him going.
theessexfox Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 He's made the least mistakes this season. Unbelivable servant to the club.
flowwolf Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 Disappointed he did not get more games. But glad he's gone. And your logic for that statement is ?
dannythefox Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 Good player better than pelts god knows what happened there!
acooling08 Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 I only saw him twice I think. He was absolute dogshit both times. It's criminal really that he'll earn more in the time he 'played' for us than I will learn in a lifetime.
Guesty Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 Thought he'd be good but he was woeful when ever I saw him, got ripped to bits and 1 game couldn't even stay on his feet leaving the winger just to walk by him.
MrFox781 Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 And your logic for that statement is ? Disappointed he did not get more games. Glad he's gone because if he won't be playing no point him being here and sitting around increasing the wage bill.
TrentFox Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 I thought he was gonna be a great signing, key part of fulham's europa league squad in the season they got into the final. (Along with konchesky lest we forget) That was until I saw him get torn to shreds by Adam Lallana in august. I think this was a worse signing than kaebi or akinbiyi. To be fair, Lallana tore everyone in the league to shreds.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 Disappointed he did not get more games. Glad he's gone because if he won't be playing no point him being here and sitting around increasing the wage bill. Pretty much sums it up - if we could have got the best out of him he would have been a force, but I don't think he wanted to be here, especially after Sven left.)
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 30 April 2012 Posted 30 April 2012 Baffled by this. Key player and worth every penny of his wages. Thought he'd had a cracking season. Fcuk off Pearson
