Club or Country?

I get excited by both, but country edges it. Then again, I'm a foreigner who doesn't have any logical or rational connection to Leicester, so it's not that odd.

A tough one for me. I too follow England home and away as well as City. I've stopped the Wembley games though as they're abysmal.

Cardiff in the playoffs still hurt. I'm actually down here at the moment, and driving past the ground today killed me being the first time I've been back since that day. I'm still not over it.

England and our usual defeat on penalties hurts just as much, except that USUALLY you know that England will have another bite of the cherry in two years time. It kind of alleviates the pain.

A world cup win would be just as good as Leicester winning the Playoff Final with a last minute goal v Derby, or an FA Cup final win.

I really couldn't call it.

Club. I'd rather see Leicester get promoted (stay up and win trophies etc) than England win a trophy.

Plus, half, if not all, of the England team don't seem to care. I look back at the World Cup Winning team in 1966 and see that the players were so proud to play for their Country, where as I don't see that now.

Can't highlight but I'm referring to your first paragraph. The most exciting thing bar the promotion itself would be taking on the big teams in the first season. Then what? Hand on my heart I'd really not be bothered about leicester winning the premiership or champions league. Possibly because the likelihood of that ever happening is so remote. I'd be ecstatic if we ever get promoted again. Then stay up the following season. Then what?

I guess i'm in a different position than alot of you, i would have to say Country. Knowing World cups when your the 'roos weren't in it and knowing you would need to wait another 4 years for it to roll around again. I've followed the 'roos interstate and overseas and there is nothing better than the pride you have following your national team on the otherside of the world. So for me as much as i love City to see Australia win a world cup is stuff i could only dream about.

England to win a major tournament or City just to win a game?

City all the way...

I don't believe you.

I really don't understand - the fact that those things happening is so unlikely is the reason it would be such a massive achievement. I don't think there's a fan of the club anywhere who wouldn't be over the moon if we somehow managed to become the best team in the country, let alone the continent. I cannot picture Leicester winning the Champions League, and a fan just shrugging his shoulders at it.

Surely you mean you don't bother dreaming it might happen because it's so unlikely. That would make sense.

I don't know. I'm not saying it to be controversial. Becoming the best team in England or Europe would be nice, but I think both competitions are so money orientated it doesn't bother me. I wish I could put my finger on why I say it

Much prefer to win the FA cup.

Club for me.

Although having an Irish father and an English mother, I've got a choice of international teams to watch and follow both. Looking forward to seeing the Irish in a major tournament after such a long time.

Club, probably because I don't go to watch England. Both piss me off, almost equally.

That said, I get more excited for a World Cup than I do, a new Championship campaign, which isn't really suprising.

i'm english to the point i hate forms that say british and would love to see england win a world cup during my lifetime. imagine the moment we are handed that trophy.

however that elation would be short lived and give the fans of clubs like coventry the same joy.

so for me it's club, i'd love nothing more than to be there when leicester lifted the fa cup, a league title and have the chance to follow them all over europe, to see real honours after our clubs name, plus leicester sucess or failure is something that effects us weekly.

I see a lot of club over country, and I wonder if we were in the Premiership, and one of our players, say was making their way through the ranks at under 18/21 level would the percentage change.

As an Irishman, I can get the best of both worlds. Ireland's team is a bit like Leicester City. Couple of decent players, full of skill, but never quite getting there, or their window of greatness is slowly closing shut.

Ireland also has a couple of high-paid mega stars, and had a team once that had great promise under a previous manager, but fell apart due to changes in manager, or individual players ego.

In some ways this is shite, but as a proud LCFC supporter and Ireland, I get the same feelings Internationally as I do in the League.

I like supporting the underdog, and long may that continue (with a bit of surprising success of course!)

This question is so irrelevant to us anyway. When has Leicester City ever suffered because our players are tired/absent/injured because of the England team? If we were ManUre or Arsenal there might be an argument but us,really?I think we're kidding ourselves on a bit here.
