ScouseFox Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 It just makes sense. We need a target man of some sort, he needs a club, I don't think you'll find a City fan in the world (with half a brain) who doesn't love the man, he loves the club, just make it happen Nige. Thanks.
RonnieTodger Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 This is the most excited I've been about a Leicester signing since Edgar Davids!
Adster Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 This is the most excited I've been about a Leicester signing since Edgar Davids! Oh Edgar Fookin Davids!
Daggers Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 A 34yr old lumbering Villa reject. Absolute joke of an idea.
Lambert09 Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 A 34yr old lumbering Villa reject. Absolute joke of an idea. Leicester fans should have more respect for one of the great players to come through their doors.
Daggers Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Leicester fans should have more respect for one of the great players to come through their doors. Grow up.
Happy Fox Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 A 34yr old lumbering Villa reject. Absolute joke of an idea. Thank goodness it isn't Steeeve Howard now he was a bag of shite.
Daggers Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Thank goodness it isn't Steeeve Howard now he was a bag of shite. Apart from in League 1
Happy Fox Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Apart from in League 1 Well we aren't their anymore, we have moved on from those days, Heskey would be a better upgrade than Howard in the target man role.

cc_star Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 A 34yr old lumbering Villa reject. Absolute joke of an idea. Remember us bringing Howard on to retain possession if we were defending a lead? and the ball either bouncing off his head and going to the opposition, or him throwing his weight around and getting sent off Here's some Opta stats on a woeful Villa side Vs West Brom focused on Heskey receiving the ball I'm not saying sign him up, because too many other things come into play... But he'd be perfect to bring on in the role Sven/NP used Howard in Add to that the fact that every strike partner he's had has benefited hugely from him & can't speak highly enough about him. People are absolute fools to write him off purely on age. Absolute fools!!!
Daggers Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Well we aren't their anymore, we have moved on from those days, Heskey would be a better upgrade than Howard in the target man role. Deckchairs would be an improvement on Howard - but that's irrelevant. Children are excited because they never saw him play, idiots are excited becuz hez Lestoh innit, and everyone else is proving me right that the world is populated by morons. Heskey is the answer if the question is "Who would make a slightly less shit Steve Howard?"

Heskey is the answer if the question is "Who would make a slightly less shit Steve Howard?" I am not saying he the answer forever but for a season where in this division you have brick wall of defenders who aerially are far better than Nugent and Beckford you need a plan B to nullify that Heskey would do that job. I certainly don't expect him to score a barrel load of goals but honestly his hold up play would be helpful for Nugent etc. If you think sentiment would come into the equation well most of us would want him back for the reasons described above.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Nugent will be a 30 goal striker with him in the team
Simmo86 Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Nugent will be a 30 goal striker with him in the team David Nugent will never be a 30 goal a season striker
nickelbyfox Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 I would love to see the big lump back, Heskey is amazing!
Danno Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Nugent will be a 30 goal striker with him in the team If Nuge was a penalty taker, he'd probably be in the late twenties in terms of goals scored. But I don't think he'll ever get any more than 20ish.
Aeropars Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Drink water on twitter just tweeted heskey is coming home!

Webbo Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 I just don't see Hesky as a Pearson type signing. I hope I'm right.
Craig Posted 23 May 2012 Author Posted 23 May 2012 I just don't see Hesky as a Pearson type signing. I hope I'm right. Did he not sign Adebola at Hull? Pearson loves a plan B target man and bearing in mind Howard's departure, I think he's a typical Pearson type signing.
