Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 The amount of times people have been ignoring me shouting Gary Madine's name from the proverbial rooftops is unreal. He's the perfect fit - a mobile target man who scores goals and is only 21. Throw our dubious links to Shef Wed with Mandaric the chair there, and I reckon he could end up here - and I'd rather have him anyday. That said, I agree with the sentiment that Heskey is criminally under-rated. Goalscoring is not everything for a forward, his hold up play and service for other strikers is great. I just think Madine could have a great future with us. Highly doubt he would want to come now Wednesday have been promoted, would be a sideways move in his career. Just think we need Heskey and he needs us, even if its only a years contract to see how he does I think he would love to end his career here and we are in desperate need of a bit of physicality up top.

True, he'll be envisaging them doing what Southampton and Norwich have. They'll definitely have a strong season, I'm sure of it.

Beckford and Nugent (and potentially vardy) could learn an awful lot from him. If he filled in a Chris Powell role think how much help it would be to the likes of Schlupp and Hopper?

We have needed a better version of Howard since we have been back in the championship in my opinion. On his day Heskey is unplayable I know he's getting on but a good pre-season behind him and I think he's be the perfect partner for Beckford/Nugent/Waghorn/Vardy/Schlupp.

There is no reason why Heskey won't do the same.
