Lincoln Lawyer Season 4, half way through and it's as good as previous seasons.

Never tire of watching Becki Newton on screen either.

Re watched This  Country over the past couple of days. I imagine it to be the sort of comedy that is sneered at on here but imo the writing and the characters are genius. Quite Gervaisesqe in it's awkwardness

It’s fantastic, one of my favourites.
As you say the writing and characters are genius! Even the secondary characters like Mandy and Kerry’s dad are so funny.

Watching A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms alongside GoT (first watch) and enjoying both tremendously. I have a twattish-ish aversion to whatever is massive at the time so have avoided it until now.

Episode 5 of AKOTSK is one of the best episodes of anything I've ever seen, I've always thought battles scenes never capture how claustrophobic and disorienting it must be and it absolutely nails this. Just checked on IMDB and it has 9.8/10 so not alone in thinking that. Closest equivalent I can think is the ep of True Detective where Rust is undercover, breathless.

Recommended to others before as it was on Prime but now it's on Netflix and you took the plunge, you'll probably like Animal Kingdom mate

I've stumbled across Panorama documentary series from 1965. It's fascinating. The interviews between mods and rockers, the prediction of AI, the prediction of silicon Valley. space exploration. The polaris computer system brought about so much development in so many areas of science.

Seeing the development and predicted possibilities that have come to be real is amazing.

The interview with the guy who predicted miniaturisation of computers and AI was startling. As is the preposition that people's jobs would be surpassed by computer technology and their lives would be more leisurely as a result.

It feels like I'm now living in this predicted world.

This was 60 years ago.

To qoute one professional "if you have access to privacy you have control of those people". It's scarily accurate in today's society.

If you're of an age similar to me or just interested in history, it's well worth searching Panorama 1965 on iPlayer

Promised to watch Heated Rivalry with my wife. 5 episodes in and I'm positively surprised. I would say it's the kind of show that probably isn't everyone's cup of tea!

Top soundtrack, too. Properly into Harrison's remix of All the things she said.

Agreed, it has been a nice change to the other 2 GOT shows (main one and house of the dragon). 1 more episode left of this series.

Started Landman and it felt like a Trump brainwashing piece sponsored by Big Oil/Michelob. Not for me.

Also started Girl Taken - set in a fictional northern English town called Holly something, but filmed in Northern Spain for some reason - which makes the whole thing feel odd and bad.

However, also just finished Crowded Room which was utterly amazing. Similar vibe to Shutter Island if you like that kind of thing.
