Rusko187 Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 Its the same people discussing Beckford in every thread. Give it a bloody rest. Agreed... Just appears to be the same people posting the same thing! Let's move on and discuss something worthwhile.
FrankieADZ Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 just saw a tweet from James Nursey saying Chris Wood is available(dunno if loan or what) but think he'd ba a good addition to the squad
RobHawk Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 If you read this, and you are still debating Jermaine Beckford in this thread, I would like to inform you that you are a complete and utter moron no matter what your opinion is!! Its all been said before so please just end it!! Your drivel is making my eyes bleed! Its not like any of your opinions actually matter so just please keep them to yourselves from now on! Enough is enough! At the very least if you really need to air your views and are so self righteous that you believe everyone must here what you have to say, go do it in the Beckford thread where this drivel belongs! If it was up to me i'd ban you all!
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 Why is everyone so worried about the financial situation? A. There is nothing any of you can do about it... It's out of your hands. You can worry until time immemorial but still can't change the players existing contracts. B. Pearson and the board appear to have things under some sort of control anyway. Pearson has sold or got rid of the bigger earners that he felt were expendable. He's replaced them with players I would assume are on less wages. Sit back and lets see what they can do on the field.

Quite right, some people go on as if it's their own money!
RobHawk Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 Just to be clear...................You're both still morons!!
Mark_w Posted 13 August 2012 Posted 13 August 2012 Anyone what cares will kbow what we have a wage bill totalling £15 million yet we make just £6 million. We also know that the Thais are loaning this to the club. It costs a pound to find that out, I care and the current spending is similar to a Portsmouth esque crash situation (second admin - Kitson 20k and Lawrence 15k). I think you need to go back and read the previous posts because I'm one of the few who are actually concerned about it, it would seem. I was just pointing out that Beckford is the only one whose wages we are somewhat aware of. Why is everyone so worried about the financial situation? A. There is nothing any of you can do about it... You've never worried about something you can't do anything about? I find that incredibly hard to believe, I am worried about it because I want to be sure that the club is still around when I'm an old man. Maybe it is irrational to worry about it as we can't help it, but it doesn't stop me worrying. I'd be amazed if you had never worried about something you have no control over. As for the second point, that's all well and good, but we are still paying more money than we can reallistically afford in the Championship unless we are willing to be dependent on people who are loaning, not giving, the club money. Two business men who are obviously in it to make a profit, and if it comes down to it I imagine they are going to try and do that whatever the cost to the football club because they are business men not football fans. I can't say I know an awful lot about the financial position, but what I've picked up from reading the boards is that we are paying players insane wages and we have been loaned the money that we are currently spending. Yes that concerns me because if we fail to get into the Premiership, and the owners pull out, then the club is screwed, we simply couldn't afford to pay the wages of our players. We should all be concerened because we care about the club and we don't want to see what is happening at Portsmouth and Rangers happening to Leicester City. Sorry if you don't feel the same but I'm going to keep bringing it up because I think it's a genuine issue.

I understand your concern, I am sure it exists it the back of most fans minds but what do we do? Without knowing the in and outs it is perhaps wrong to say we can't afford one player but never say the same about others. I would guess that Schmeichel, Konchesky, Danns, Nugent and Beckford are on large contracts (given when they joined) and if we are in a mess then perhaps we should look to move them on and give Logan, Kennedy, Waghorn, and Schlupp bigger roles in the squad and maybe loan a CM to replace Danns. If they are risking our financial future then how well they played is irrelevant.

Not buy a season ticket to 'boycott' the club? I genuinely don't try to worry about what I can't control. Look up your Sigmund Freud mate...Sometimes the worry of something can be worse than the actual subject being worried about. Of course I would hate it if we do a Pompey... But if we did I would live with the thought that was was nothing I personally could have done to change the outcome. If you feel you can do something about the problem you are worried about, don't keep worrying.. Look at taking some positive action to try to rectify it. If you can't you will have to take it on the chin and hope for the best. Why? Because there would literally be no point in doing otherwise.
Happy Fox Posted 19 August 2012 Author Posted 19 August 2012 ITK Transfers â€@ITK_Transfers13 Leicester City will make an enquiry to Liverpool about the availability of taking Raheem Sterling on loan for the season #LCFC #LFC Probably bollocks but something to talk about.
ronnup Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 Go the potential to rip this league apart. May well be bull shit though.
MGLCFC Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 Would be excellent, but not sure where he fits in with Marshall on one flank and the likelyhood of Knockaert on the other
Libertine Dream Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 More than likely rubbish but would be a great signing. Would signal the end for Gallagher but its unlikely to happen
Tielemans63 Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 Pretty sure that's bollocks as he's on the verge of Liverpool's first XI. Wouldn't say no though, obviously.
BrumFox Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 anyone saying they are ITK are normally 14 year old kids with nothing better to do. don't believe anything till he's at the club
Swarles Barkley Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 My second team is liverpool and ive followed the forums, games etc. he is very very highly rated and will rip defences to shreds even though hes only 17. Hes very fast and direct and would be great for us. However i dont know why we are after him. As its a loan theres probably a clause saying he plays most games. Therefore we will have to choose between dyer marshall and knockaert. I think its bull so doubt it will happen
Cropwellfox Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 More than likely rubbish but would be a great signing. Would signal the end for Gallagher but its unlikely to happen No chance with Sterling but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Gallagher moves on and a young loan winger comes in by the end of the window.

Tom17LCFC Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 Thought QPR were trying to get him back on a season-long loan.

Uncle Phil Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 Nothing gets the juices flowing like a Twitter link to an obscure Scotsman. As long as he doesn't come down in a scotch mist.
kingfox Posted 19 August 2012 Posted 19 August 2012 We have nothing for about a week, but now we have two links in one day. Sterling is probably utter bollocks, but I would take him with a pinch of salt. Milsom is a central midfielder and we don't need any, probably go to Watford.
