Beckford - will he go or will he stay?

Kenwyne Jones on loan is this true? or bullshit

I've just read that as well.

Not sure if we need him, as Futacs is a target man, but he'd certainly add quality.

If we loan in a striker, one we're linked with is Kenwayne Jones.

Then one of ours will go, and it's going to be beckford imo, won't pay £40k a week for him to sit on the bench, loan him out with the other club paying some/most/all of the wages

He scored two in his first four games last season ;)

Just looked at the fixture list, yes he did! lol Didn't realise Bristol City and Nottingham Forest were that early on in the season. Think it's because I've tried to remove last season from my mind.

Is it possible that all these Beckford rumours were just Huddersfield trying to get Beckford in thinking he was available and could be tempted as he wasn't starting for us, and we just said no.

Has anyone got any actual, real, concrete proof, that we ever even entertained the idea of letting Beckford go on loan?

Not got that proof, but it's been quoted by more than one source that Beckford was in Huddersfield and signed the paperwork and that LCFC pulled the plug at last minute. I would imagine that someone would have vigorously refuted these claims if ther wasn't any truth in them.

So that would imply that we certainly entertained the idea even if, eventually, we did say no.

Maybe it was some sort of stance by the club, in other words "you can go and sign what you want, but you're not going anywhere so get used to the idea!"

I certainly would like to see Jones here, he would be fantastic at this level.

If we wanted Jones what would be the point in bringing Futacs in? Unless we want to be the next Stoke.

I do worry that seems the way we are going at times. But I still 'just about' trust Nigel not to take us too far down the 'hoof ball' route.

Sven didn't know how it would all work out when he signed him.

He spent a decent amount of money, you'd want that player for a length of time.

Four years is ridiculously risky, Sven didn't consider the risks in the absolute slightest when signing this lot.

Kenwyne Jones is a quality forward, I'd take him here in a flash, offers us another dimension and he'd score plenty of headers.

I can't believe people are turning their nose up at Jones because we have freaking Futacks, jones is 5x the player he is!

totally agree with this

With all due respect, sirs...

Kenwyne Jones is a donkey, and we'd have to pay stupid fees just to bring him in on loan. No, thank you.

Edit: Perhaps Kenwyne Jones isn't a donkey, but he's really not good enough to make this team any better, and not worth this supposed move at all.

Wouldn't be so sure, been useful at most clubs his been to in the EPL.

FFS, have you even watched any of our games this season?
