ScouseFox Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Yeah, might be onto something there like. The FA did email everyone saying come and get a ticket please we don't care who you support.
Vacamion Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 I saw on the BBC that Dave Whelan was going to lead the team out today, but as it was just a semi final, they decided there was no precedent for this, so he remained in the stand. I think he deserves to walk them out for the final. Of course Wigan are a small club with a small fanbase who have been playing above themselves for years (might go down this year, still), but I think Mr Whelan deserves his day when the final takes place. Good luck to them.
Corky Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 A Millwall fan on TalkSport said that every season ticket holder could claim 3 tickets on their season ticket, so I'm sure many who don't support Millwall and are mates with some that are purchased tickets.
Kitchandro Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Is Kenny Jackett blind? What a knob. Oh fvcking hell, all the cliches coming out there. 'It's a minority of Millwall fans'. 'Millwall FC have done so much to improve their reputation'. It's such a bunch of horseshit.
StanSP Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Exactly. The FA need to go in hard on Millwall. Time to see how much guts they have. Despicable. I want to see punishments like playing games behind closed doors or at least not allowed to away matches.
Leicesterpool Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Just heard about the trouble, I've not known ever to be any trouble at any Semi Final before, but nothing surprises you when Millwall are in town!
davieG Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 I know it's got nothing to do with sitting or standing but this sort shit will no doubt influence negatively those that decide on the introduction of safe standing.

I agree, but it's ridiculous, as theoretically seats could be used as weapons, whereas safe standing has no objects to offer in the same way.
AoWW Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 I agree, but it's ridiculous, as theoretically seats could be used as weapons, whereas safe standing has no objects to offer in the same way. Dunno, there are enough tools present amongst the Millwall fanbase.

Aus Fox Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Kick them out if next seasons competition and dock them 15 points. Disgusting scenes at one of England's premier sporting events, the punishment needs to be strong and have an impact on the club as a whole.
Leicesterpool Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Ban Millwall fans from away games, just simple. Just to add, I've been on one of the Millwall forums and most of them are admitting the club could face some sort of ban. I've read some disturbing stories on there of kids getting hurt by drunken yobs, a lot of millwall fans are threatening not to go again.
z-layrex Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Quite a few Millwall fans round here. Even though I would call a few 'drinking buddies' of mine (certainly not friends), they're all either thugs or just seriously uneducated.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Massive overreaction. A young girl was knocked over and bloke refused to apologise, police didn't get involved so blokes defending the young girl did. All went from there really. Also add in the fact that there was apparently West Ham and other teams (true or not I'm not sure) in the Mill crowd.

Also add in the fact that there was apparently West Ham and other teams (true or not I'm not sure) in the Mill crowd. It's not an overreaction, this shit almost never happens with other clubs, but consistently does with them. I've seen it on TV, there's plenty of people wildly throwing punches and squaring up to people (coppers, for example).
Leicester_Loyal Posted 14 April 2013 Posted 14 April 2013 There's fighting and disorder all the time, but you just don't hear about it. Nothing been mentioned of Portsmouth rushing one of Brentfords stands today and having a pop at lads with families around them in the press? Yet it happened after Brentfords winning goal. PS. I'm not saying it's right or whatever, just I think people are taking this Millwall thing way over the top.
Guesty Posted 14 April 2013 Posted 14 April 2013 http://www.reddit.co...ing_the/c9elwq1 This was an eye witness account and it seems pretty plausible. Drunken yobs pushing families and people, no police or stewards doing anything and it all escalated. Even someone in the comments section who works at Wembley agrees. Could be lies, but makes sense. I'm not saying its an overreaction or condoning hooliganism or defending Millwall, but if your family was getting pushed around by yobs and no-one was doing anything you'd probably react. Hopefully, they find the aggressors and make an example of them. It was stupid the FA pretty much letting anyone in because they had to shift tickets since they weren't selling. Apparently, Millwall STH could get 3 tickets for friends - which probably meant some banned clowns got in that way. And having the game that late for TV; meaning they could all go on the piss all-day won't have helped. Police are dammed if they go in and dammed if they keep a low profile, but it looks like they took too long to get there. It does seem they were completely under-prepared. When you see the videos their's around 10 normally dressed police officers fighting back fans when they know they're going into a massive fight - yet when Sheff Weds chucked a couple of smoke bombs at us the police were in full riot gear in 5 mins. And you can't blame stewards for not going in - prob all on min wage and hardly ever do any matches so inexperienced and not expecting it. Millwall seem to attract idiots, like sheep mentality. It's like when we play Millwall and you see all these Green Street wannabe clowns who are our fans turn up because they wanna be well 'ard. Sounds like a bunch of clowns and bad organisation, I doubt you'd get it at many other clubs, but it's too easy lay ALL the blame at the club and all their fans.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 April 2013 Posted 14 April 2013 There's word that some of the fans in the Millwall end were in fact West Ham and Chelsea. Either way, congratulations to Millwall for embarrassing yourselves enormously, most clubs in the country know what you're like anyway so it won't come as a huge suprise
Fox92 Posted 14 April 2013 Posted 14 April 2013 When I went Millwall away in December, I met a few of their fans at London Bridge Station. They were sound like. But obviously the club attracts the wrong people as well - it's a shame this has happened, it looks bad for the club again (wonder what Jackett makes of it?) but it always seems when something kicks off, the police are never around (or at least, when something minor happens, there is loads of them).

Decided to do his best Wenger impression and claim he didn't see any fighting.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 14 April 2013 Posted 14 April 2013 Is Kenny Jackett blind? Is Kenny Jackett blind? What a knob. Is that Ricky Gervais being Derek?! Bloody hell, it is.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 April 2013 Posted 14 April 2013 This game has finally come into life!Hart's replacement is making a name for himself too
ScouseFox Posted 14 April 2013 Posted 14 April 2013 Mental from Aguero to jump two footed right onto David Luiz' arse. Lucky to be on the pitch. I'd say sure to get a ban for violent conduct when it's rewatched by the FA, but there'll probably be something somewhere they think is more important so he'll get away with it.
Tielemans63 Posted 14 April 2013 Posted 14 April 2013 Have to say, I'm not a fan either club but you have to credit Chelsea and Man City they're both playing with a huge amount of passion and commitment and giving it everything - great to see that teams still really care about the FA Cup.
Bugg Posted 14 April 2013 Posted 14 April 2013 The amount of abuse that Chris Hoy, the cyclist on twitter is absolutely hilarious. People think he's the referee in the game.
