Lobsterboyuk Posted 17 January 2013 Share Posted 17 January 2013 http://www.thesun.co...to-stay-in.html Still cant see this happening. According to Met Office just light snow forecast still from midday. Drove out to Ashby this morning and it did look pretty hairy with ice everywhere but in the city there's nothing. Only way this will be called off is if the snow slips further east than currently forecast for our region. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/leicester-city-fc#?tab=fiveDay&fcTime=1358467200
Bilbo Posted 17 January 2013 Share Posted 17 January 2013 This will definitely go ahead, when a game is on sky only a tsunami would ensure it's called off.

I'm pretty sure we'll get some but not a snowmeggedon. But the temperature is horrendous, feels like minus 8!!!

Trav Le Bleu Posted 17 January 2013 Share Posted 17 January 2013 In my opinion all this surrounding area stuff is h&s bullshit. They don't shut shops or tell you not to come to work because the paths are slippy so why should football be any different. If the pitch is playable the game should go ahead. The power to cancel a football game is insignificant when compared to the power of the force.

Mind you, I'd only start him as sub, can't disturb the front two or any of the midfield.

dynamark Posted 17 January 2013 Share Posted 17 January 2013 things will no doubt get messi into tomorrow but im convinced the game will go on even if ms whelan has to brush the snow off the touchlines. not sure its the right thing for us but fingers crossed decent surface we will win but snow needs to stop well before kick off and we should be ok, Note to NP get down the shell garage and purchase some thermal gloves for the players they are on offer at the moment

TrentFox Posted 17 January 2013 Share Posted 17 January 2013 Seriously guys, I love snow as much as the next person, but you kind of would expect to see snow flakes when the weather people have spent all week telling us it's going to snow ! When you can't see the graas in your back garden, that's a good time for the updates ! Who was it earlier suggested about Ms Whelan clearing the snow off the pitch ?? Does anyone know if I can pay a areduced rate to watch that and then leave when the Boro' come onto the pitch ???
