indierich06 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 He's the exception then most of the others have. Not really. Only four managers out of 23 have outperformed him this season. Pearson's performed better than 83% of managers in this league. Not bad for someone who's completely useless, according to you. I don't particularly care if you think Pearson's crap and you want him to leave the club, but it does nothing for your argument when you describe him as being inept and useless when he'ws clearly not. He's proven over the past few years that he's an above average Championship manager - he's been in playoff contention with every team he's had for pretty much every season he's managed in the Championship, so he's clearly got some talent as a manager. There's plenty to criticise Pearson for - his often one dimensional tactics, poor signings he's made, the fact that we let an automatic promotion slot slip... but to say, simply, that he's useless and not a good Championship manager is bizarre and you make yourself look a bit daft to be honest.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Whereas this is true. They've still never beaten Pearson. So he can't be that bad.... Obviously it was Pearsons fault that Knockaert missed the penalty that would've got us to wembley... Then who knows what would've happened. It's all ifs and buts though
MPH Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Your trolling is very amateur, now that IS embarrassing. That was a very short night sleep! ( I don't troll. I just point out when people are being fools). and really? trying to play the who is being more embarrassing game?
kingfox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Just didn't work out. Got so excited at his signing, then it all went wrong. So glad we are getting him off our wage list though, just Waggy, Vardy and Futacs to go now. Wood, Nugent, Schlupp and a new striker, will be good enough options.
Number 6 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 This is great news. Very happy to get rid. I'd fancy Wood to outscore him this season too. Not sure why anyone would prefer to have JB over Wood.
indierich06 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Think we'll see some movement into the club as soon as this is confirmed as well. I expect we've got a few players lined up and we're just waiting to shift some of the surplus off the books before we can bring them in. Let's hope this deal is tied up quickly!
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Stringer says it looks like a done deal! With his contacts at the club ? Really ?
Corky Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Not really. Only four managers out of 23 have outperformed him this season. Pearson's performed better than 83% of managers in this league. There's a dividing line- you are either useless or amazing. Pearson is neither, as you say he's above average, we could improve on him but we could do a lot worse. Agree totally with the last paragraph, good to see some balance
Jace Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I do feel bad for Bolton they must hate us, first we sell them Matt Mills, then we take their play off place and now we have sold them Beckford
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I do feel bad for Bolton they must hate us, first we sell them Matt Mills, then we take their play off place and now we have sold them Beckford We might end up on Watchdog like people who rip off elderly people with dodgy gas/roof repairs, seems we're diddling them in a similar way
Fox92 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Just didn't work out, no doubt he can score goals at this level, and may show that at Bolton. The best part for me is, we get rid of his ridiculous high wages. Would like to see Waghorn and Futacs leave as well, now.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I do feel bad for Bolton they must hate us, first we sell them Matt Mills, then we take their play off place and now we have sold them Beckford It's their own fault for boxing me on there car park for over a hour after the game
AnotherShitSeason Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I do feel bad for Bolton they must hate us, first we sell them Matt Mills, then we take their play off place and now we have sold them Beckford How much money will we have we lost on both these combined? Could really do with that dosh now I'm willing to bet. Absolutely shocking financial mismanagement.
Happy Fox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 How much money will we have we lost on both these combined? Could really do with that dosh now I'm willing to bet. Absolutely shocking financial mismanagement. Hence we have a new DOF in Robinson and not Neville.
tomtom Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Wood never played in the Prem ( and never will ) Wood plays for New Zealand are you seriously comparing playing for New Zealand with playing for England ? Wood has been absolute gash for us apart from his first three games , he is a championship Donkey and always will be. Beckford will flourish under Friedman at Bolton because Friedman is twice the manager Pearson will ever be , While Wood will continue his downward path under the tactical genius we are stuck with called Pearson. You really are the biggest clown on this forum, and that's no mean feat!
MC Prussian Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 How much money will we have we lost on both these combined? Could really do with that dosh now I'm willing to bet. Absolutely shocking financial mismanagement. Looking on the bright side, I'm a) glad we could sell Beckford on and b) glad that we're saving a huge chunk of wages

I think Freedman's a great guy and all but I'm sorry - are we talking about the same Dougie Freedman who achieved 0 appearances in the playoffs with the teams that he's coached so far? That's right. 0. I can count at least two for Pearson (and even a third, if you add promotion from League One). I wish I had such a blinkered and negative outlook on things. Not.
jimmeh Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 A lot of the 800/900 thousand we will receive for Beckford will be spent on Beckford himself. Lost earnings over the next 2 years.
jimmeh Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Say Bolton are paying him 10k a week less than we are. That's 480k a year. And I bet they are paying him even less than that. Essentially it's a way of releasing him for free. Fee will all be spent on the settlement with Beckford. Complete mess
SmithyFox12 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Just for the record, Beckford is reportedly the highest earner at our club at the minute.
Fox92 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Less than £1million according to radio Leicester/football forum. The priority is getting rid of the stupid high wages. Not just with Beckford.
Tielemans63 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Less than £1million according to radio Leicester/football forum. The priority is getting rid of the stupid high wages. Not just with Beckford. He'll probably bank most of any transfer fee as contract settlement. He's done very nicely out of being a pretty disastrous signing. Not his fault though, if someone offered to pay me more than I was worth I'd bite their hand off.

He was a disaster panic signing. Im sure he is a nice bloke etc etc, but never ever suited to Leicester
