jock2612 Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 It crossed my mind that the club my use any transfer fee form JB to pay up the contracts of other unwanted players because we cant just bring in players on JB wages because as far as the FFP rules are concerned we would be in the same position.There is no way at his age Wellens will do anything else but see his contract out and the same may be tue of Gally.

Sure Mills cost them about £2mil. Incredible really. I expect a signing within the next week from us though.

Im more concerened that we paid out more than 8m for them both.... If you add wages and signing on fees then that pair cost us more than 10m....

Dan Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Aye wasn't Mills £3.5mil with add ons (which we didn't end up paying) and Beckford £2.5mil with add ons (which again, we hardly paid any)? Even then it's still at least a £3mil loss which is terrible, but probably the best we could've got.

Yep, a lot of transfer deals are seemingly reported wrongly as most of them include the total we'd pay if all add ons were met. Add ons in these instances being performance and promotion related which weren't met.
