Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 According to Sky live match schedule we are playing Monaco in a pre season friendly on the 27th July at 15:45 live on sky 1 hd. If this is correct why don't the club announce it? WUM?
HEGGSY Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 WUM? Nope. It's on sky mate http://www1.skysports.com/watch/football-on-sky
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 Nope. It's on sky mate http://www1.skysports.com/watch/football-on-sky shittin hell, that's fvcking nuts Was looking forward to it, don't think I will bother now - not that the club will give a fvck if Sky are paying
Happy Fox Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 Good news for me saves me a couple of quid for an away game.
ScouseFox Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 hahaha amazing. surely they've done this on purpose just to wind some people up? there's no way, no way at all, that anyone with a sky subscription will be thinking "ohhh yeah that's money well spent, Leicester's pre season friendly will be a good way to spend a summer's afternoon".
Danizen Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 I cancel my Sky Sports subscription during the summer so Rupert Murdoch can suck a dick.
AKCJ Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 what a massively patronising article from the daily mail! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2345668/Radamel-Falcao-play-pre-season-friendly-Leicester-City.html "Ronaldo starred in a 2-1 Real Madrid victory in 2011". I wouldn't say he 'starred' in it. More that he spent the second half doing tricks on the wing and hitting shots nearer to the corner flag than the goal itself.
Dan Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 hahaha amazing. surely they've done this on purpose just to wind some people up? there's no way, no way at all, that anyone with a sky subscription will be thinking "ohhh yeah that's money well spent, Leicester's pre season friendly will be a good way to spend a summer's afternoon". This. I am now literally convinced they are doing it to wind us up.
HEGGSY Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 It just means they get to talk about our "heartbreaking last minute play off semi final defeat" a week earlier than the Leeds game, before they proceed to talk about it at the Leeds game. And then having a laugh at our expense in the ad breaks.
Tubbymofo Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 hahaha amazing. surely they've done this on purpose just to wind some people up? there's no way, no way at all, that anyone with a sky subscription will be thinking "ohhh yeah that's money well spent, Leicester's pre season friendly will be a good way to spend a summer's afternoon". I think it's more of "ohhh Monaco's pre season friendly they've spent a lot of money on those big players might watch that"
ScouseFox Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 I think it's more of "ohhh Monaco's pre season friendly they've spent a lot of money on those big players might watch that" But it's against Leicester City. If it was, let's say, Chelsea vs Monaco at Wembley for some bullshit pre season trophy game then yes, I'd say quite a few people would watch and fair enough if Sky wanna get involved. But come on, Leicester City? In a friendly?! Will random armchair United fans be thinking "yes then, this'll be good" or will it be more "oh Leicester have probably paid someone some money to have Falcao play for 20 minutes and it'll be shit, I'll walk the dog today it's sunny"? I mean each to their own and that but I cannot see many wanting to watch it. I'm amazed many people tune in to watch us play competitive, meaningful fixtures. Let alone friendlies!
GorlestonFox Posted 23 June 2013 Posted 23 June 2013 Shocked that the club still have not announced it... and the 15:45 timing.
PAULCFC Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I was quite looking forward to this game.......but as i have sky i wont bother....call me plastic!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I was quite looking forward to this game.......but as i have sky i wont bother....call me plastic! You are so plastic
Monsell1976 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I was quite looking forward to this game.......but as i have sky i wont bother....call me plastic! With you on this, unless this is very, very cheap I won't be going, no real motivation to pay through the nose for a nothing game, pay for the kids drinks and pies, and then struggle through traffic home.I will be happy to sit this out with sky, and like somebody already said, put the money towards an away game.
Ric Flair Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Good news. I can count on one finger the amount of decent home friendlies i've ever been to. I was considering going to this, now I can watch it up the boozer and ignore it for the most part.
Jace Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Well sounds like the atmosphere will be great for this game think I might sack it off now too
ealingfox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 To be honest I can imagine the Club might have asked Sky to show this one, under no coercion from Sky to show it as it isn't regular season and its a bit of extra cash in our pockets. Not too upset with this. You can hardly complain that its fvcking over STHs.
Unabomber Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 So this has been confirmed by Monaco and Sky before LCFC have bothered announcing it? They are so slow!
LCFC FOX Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Knowing Leicester they will put a page up 24hours before they announce it saying BIG TEAM COMING TO THE KP. DO NOT MISS 27TH JULY. Then have a tiny bit of the Monaco badge showing so it leaves us guessing
Corky Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 hahaha amazing. surely they've done this on purpose just to wind some people up? there's no way, no way at all, that anyone with a sky subscription will be thinking "ohhh yeah that's money well spent, Leicester's pre season friendly will be a good way to spend a summer's afternoon". Must have. They've seen us complaining so are thinking of new ways to get at us.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 This game could be Derby-Monaco, Forest-Monaco or even Bolton-Monaco and it would still be shown. They're not showing it for us are they? This is to showcase Claudio Ranieri's dream team. There'll be more focus on Falcao alone than there will on our side.
RowlattsFox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I find it funny that we can't even have a friendly at 3pm on a Saturday. Least it's still on Saturday.
