lcfcsnow Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Hmmm Knockaert must be unfit He's been dropped, for the same reason he was subbed against Wednesday. Pearson making a point for whatever reason flair is not allowed away from home.
fleckneymike Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 The entire midfield was abysmal on Tuesday. Drinkwater had one of his worst games in a city shirt, James was well off the pace and Hammond wasn't any better when he came on. Can only assume we're going 433.
Captain... Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Who is playing on the right? Or is it 433? From the comments on Tuesday, don't think Was is going to be up and down the flank giving us width. Interesting, in Nigel we trust.
Babylon Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 He's been dropped, for the same reason he was subbed against Wednesday. Pearson making a point for whatever reason flair is not allowed away from home. Yeah I'm sure that's it.
jmono84 Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 We had some good opportunities against weds but technically some of our players weren't good enough... I'd like to see wood for dyer but would not sure how nuge would work on the wing in a 4-3-3
Kitchandro Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Not happy with this line-up at all. Pearson seems incapable of dropping Nugent yet James has a bad game and is out straight away. Moore likewise has been phased out whilst a loan player starts in his position and a centre back is at right back. And it's not like he was playing poorly. He seems desperate to put his new signings in; Miquel, Wasliewski and Hammond have all been forced into a side that was already doing well. I cannot understand what he sees in Hammond. I really don't think we need a supposed tough tackler who doesn't seem to do much else, when we've got a player who can tackle and pass it with more precision and energy. Setting up to defend does not work for us at all so if that's his thinking it's not good tactics. If Knockaert isn't nursing an injury not starting him is criminal. He scored within 3 minutes on Tuesday, on Saturday he put in probably he best performance of his season so far. Like certain other players, I'm not sure what he's got to do to start. Shoot me down if you want. If we win then great but those are my initial thoughts on the selection.
steveherbe Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 No Knocky, no flair, no chance. Sorry NP, you've got this wrong.
whoareyaaa Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Wood should be given a chance ahead of Nugent imo. James should be in the starting eleven as well. Not confident today but hopefully Pearson knows what hes doing and we can snatch a win.
Finnaldo Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 No Knocky, no flair, no chance. Sorry NP, you've got this wrong. lol Are you saying that without Knockaert we can't make any chances?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 RL presenter just asked a fan, will Leicester be in the Premiership "come what may". Does he not understand what this means? The fan clearly didn't, because he said, "yes"

Shoot me down if you want. If we win then great but those are my initial thoughts on the selection. I can see the logic of Hammond. He's been a starter in promotion winning sides, notably Southampton in 11/12, so I presume he's better than he's shown so far. Moore on the other hand, I find his absence baffling. Both Wasil and Miquel struggled on Tuesday, and I think I would prefer to be starting Moore ahead of both of them. He started the season so well, and it's odd to see him benched now. I hope King is the one pushed forward out of the three in midfield. We've seen what he can do there when he played under Sven.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 HA! Last fan, "We've under achieved." Obviously we should be doing better than top of the league dammit!
fleckneymike Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 That midfield is there to win the ball and knock it into channels and then two bomb into the box waiting for the ball back from the wide forwards.
Carl the Llama Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 He's been dropped, for the same reason he was subbed against Wednesday. Pearson making a point for whatever reason flair is not allowed away from home. I'll bet you get a raging hard-on when you scroll down this thread and see somebody's quoted and responded to your comment. Sorry I couldn't make the response less troll-y than your opener.
steveherbe Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 lol Are you saying that without Knockaert we can't make any chances? No, that would be patently ridiculous. But, you'll see loads of huff and puff today, and very little out of the ordinary. Knocky is a one-off, something different, something other teams dont have. And tbh, paying £32 for a ticket, I'd rather see 10 minutes of knocky magic than 90 minutes 'effort' from one of our strikers. (No names obviously, we dont want him upset yet again)
Soar Fox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 What's Wood got to do to get a start? Nugent like most of them had a shocker on Tuesday but unlike them he's been quite poor all season. Watch him go and score a brace now though.
kingfox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Not sure on this, Pearson should get some balls, and drop Nugent and put Moore back in defence. Going to be a tough one.
Devonfox1884 Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Any chance of a 4-2-3-1 being played with king as the attacking midfielder??
Stadt Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 We can win without Knocky as seen at Ipswich but we started playing well with James on the pitch, this side will be reliant on Drinky to create something and if DD isn't on song today then I can't see anything better than a draw. Wasilewski at RB won't be great if he's up against Lua Lua, Wasyl is a great CB but he's too immobile and slow to be playing at RB especially against pace. Dyer and Drinkwater need to perform today!
Stadt Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Any chance of a 4-2-3-1 being played with king as the attacking midfielder??Drinkwater would be the advanced midfielder
