HoustonFox Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 I love Lloyd Dyer. He was also one of my first signings when I (finally) started to play FUT. He made some little bursts yesterday (that one when he blew by Amartey especially) that brought a little tear of joy to my eye.
Lovejoy Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 6 years, he had a solid innings here. Lot of time for old Lloyd.
coolhandfox Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 Easy to forget players like Lloyd after the PL winning season, but the guy was a key figure in the club turn around in its fortunes!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 Quote I don't want to go anywhere. This is my club. I can't see why I would go anywhere else, especially when there are exciting times ahead.I have had no contact from Sheffield Wednesday and I wouldn't entertain that either. No-one has approached me.I love this club and everyone in my family loves this club. My young son loves this club.Everyone at the club is good to me and the fans are great to me. I don't want to go anywhere. This will probably sound a bit weird but last season was probably the first time I have played for a club and felt really proud to play for a club. I love to play for this club, I love it. I am proper proud to play for Leicester. The GOAT
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 He's still rapid. We should have never let him leave, why we didn't give him another year on that contract offer if beyond me. He deserved his shot at the Prem with us after everything he had done.

We offered 1 year and Watford offered 3 years unfortunately
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 Top man, i was very sad when he moved on as I felt he still had something to offer us in the Prem - i believe the club only wanted to offer him a year contract while he wanted three years - and honestly while that would have taken him to 34 years old - he was hardly in bad shape seemed silly to not give him it, we'd have still got a small fee from a Championship club somewhere down the line. Hope he has a cracking season with Burton, if they can stay up again with the competition around them then i'll be very proud of the Brewers

Sharpe's Fox Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 Still the most exciting player I've seen at Leicester. Mahrez, Knockaert, Izzet ect had the skill but when Lloyd got on the ball and starting running at a defender everyone in the stadium were on their feet.

Karljohn Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 Remember the goal v Bolton 5-3 win and his winner at Blackpool when he ran Bolt like for about 75 yards. Had the same effect on fans as an 18 year old Joachim, exciting and tremendous pace.
EnglishOxide Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 Lloyd's goal to beat Bolton 1-0 and seal the Championship was ****in majestic. He had an awful right foot but it didn't stop him cutting in and smashing it top corner from 25 yards

G'won Lloyd, skin him! literally all I ever shouted when he got the ball and was one on one with full back
Basingstoke Fox Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 His goal to put us 2-1 up against Bolton at home the season before was also heroic. Typical Lloyd finish to seal 2 goals within 2 minutes. Absolute limbs. One of my favourites to ever play for us during my time as a supporter.

Even when he ran 30 yards with the ball and then blazed it out of the stadium you couldn't be mad at him

Even then I still loved him.
Finnegan Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 Lloyd Dyer, taught Jeff everything he knew about finishing. Legend.

Dyer wasn't the best crosser but was a decent finisher tbf. He was outstanding in both our Championship and League One winning seasons. That final season especially it all seemed to come together and he was consistently good rather than his usual erratic self. I always thought he was a much faster and better player than Schlupp. Shame he wasn't a few years younger when we went up.
