The I Love Lloyd Dyer Thread.

Love Lloyd Dyer. Rated him too, sure he could be frustrating but I loved the old fashioned playing a fast winger on his wing and letting him race to the byline before cutting it back. Was quite sad when he left and good to see he's still playing at a high level.

Dyer. Decent finisher.

lollollol

He was a decent finisher, only player you'd rather have through on goal from that lot was Kingy.

Hero.

I was going to post exactly the same thing lol

If that was a YouTube video of a potential new signing we'd be buzzing

Loved Lloyd from the moment he won us the match at Huddersfield in 2008 with his scuffed, mis-hit lob in the last minute. Bloke is a hero and was delighted to be there on Tuesday to see the reception he got.

Didn't Dyer score the one goal we got against Real Madrid in the friendly that year? lol

It's difficult to give Legend status to someone who was solid to very good in League One/Championship, but  for six years of dependable service, as well as being probably the most exciting player in our team up until Knockaert and vital in League One and Championship-winning seasons it's hard not to call him a Cult Hero. Absolutely love him and always will and that article about his son being a Leicester fan just makes me love him even more lol

You'll always be my signature Lloydy

Hero.

I always used to say... if he could consistently kick a ball he could have been better than Messi.

I remember when we all thought he was a skinny little wretch and then he took his top off one day :jawdrop:

Absolute hero.

Amazing how a guy who can't actually kick a football properly could be so devastatingly effective at that level. Regretful he didn't take his chance to come up with us. An extra year on a deal with his presumably honest wage seems like a drop in the ocean now. Still he's had a good career and great achievement for him and Burton staying up last season. Top man.

You have to love Lloyd.

A combination of genius and abysmal sometimes in the same move.

He played with desire though and so totally forgivable. I was really disappointed to see him leave as he appeared to me to have earned a 2 year contract. Possibly that sentiment has provided to be wrong as he looks to have found it tough going following his departure.

Brilliant, I genuinely cackled proper loud when I saw that bit.

He either scored or came nowhere close!

Think he missed leg day in the gym and just did arms/chest instead every week the 6 years he was here!

He scored some really important goals for us too.

I seem to recall him getting a last minute winner/equaliser against Middlesbrough in about 3 seperate games against them.

Like Nugent and Ipswich, he always just seemed to love playing Boro.

Cult Legend!

I still love Lloyd, great to see the reception he got, I wonder how gutted he is he left, got the club he loved promoted but didn't get to play in the premier league with them.

Sad really. Other than lineker not sure I've heard a player talk about us like he does. Oh and who could forget the Birch.

Some of the dross we had at the time. And the little man could be by far our best one game and worst the next. But you could never hate him.

Perhaps one day he will return in some way. Unlike some his attitude perhaps sums up the team spirit NP built more than anyone. He has a reason to be pissed with the club but loves it with not a bad word to say.

Yet some earning ten times what he did don't feel the same for our great club.

Just goes to prove money don't buy loyalty.

Really liked Lloyd.  Always tried to make something happen and we were always a threat whenever he got the ball.  One of the quickest players to put the shirt on and always gave everything he had.  Cheers Lloydy.
