Well-composed effort by our team, Reading showed little signs of being a threatening side. We contained them well and limited their chances.

Love the re-found desire and ability.

Only downside is that some players could be a bit more clinical in front of goal.

Backed up an excellent away win by beating another promotion rival. 7 points from Burnley, QPR and Reading after two poor results and performances. Two clean sheets as well.

Huge result.

I genuinely feared we'd get 1 or 2 points max out of Burnley, QPR & Reading after being on a dodgy run of form.

DWW is boss.

Doesn't matter how you win, 1-0 is just as good as winning 4-2 or 5-0. We've learnt how to see games out now, which is what we did on Saturday and today. Last season we would've dropped points from those games, just goes to show how much the squad has progressed from a year ago. And it's another clean sheet as well, even better!

My prediction was exactly right, for proof look at pre match thread.

Top of the league, hopefully QPR and Forest draw.

A win is a win, we will strengthen in January to make us further stronger which is something that is very exciting to witness, but we are a very strong team no doubt about that.

This is the first semi realistic chance for us to put a bit of daylight between us and 3rd.  We have every chance of beating Bolton at home next game whilst Burnley are away at Wigan and QPR are away at Watford.  Hopefully by sunday we can have a 3 or 4 point gap to 3rd.

I was in Bradgate the whole time. Good result but how did they play?

BBC says 61% possession, 21 shots with 7 on target, while they had 7 shots with only 1 on target.

Sounds like we put in a good performance, or they were extremely poor.

Someone who went could post some more detailed info though.

Millwall on New Year's Day too, and they look diabolical at the moment.

We're capable of six points, but even four would put us in a healthy position if QPR fail to win at Forest this evening.

This Josh chap is an absolute mongol - drop knocks after a good performance because a goal or two given away to man city. Oh, and because "it wasn't a penalty" knocks has done nothing of late... What. A. Prat.

If we're consistent up to New Year's Day, then get a decent result at Stoke, then it puts us in a good position for Derby, which will definitely be a challenge.

Nice. Still 7 shots out of 21 is still pretty wild.

Funny that you can lose 2 games in a row and still get to the top of the table. Makes the panic reactions funny
