Charlton face competition to re-sign in-form winger Cameron Stewart with a host of rival Championship clubs keen on landing him.

Stewart has returned to parent club Hull City following a successful loan stint at The Valley and the Addicks want the 22-year-old back permanently, and they have the finance to do the deal after Belgian millionaire Roland Duchatelet completed his takeover of the club.

However, Sky Sports understands that a number of Championship clubs have now made contact with Hull about a deal for Stewart.

Understood to be among those clubs are promotion candidates Leicester City, Ipswich and Leeds United, who are all keen to add Stewart to their ranks.

**** no..

Hmm, thinking about it. I suppose he's young and has potential. Could do with a right footed winger.

Hull will not deal with us. Charlton fans think hes been shocking mind. But I would take a shot for backup. Young, quick and skillful. Pearson could get him back to his best

Really don't know about this one. Seemed a very good player in the 11/12 season playing in a Pearson assembled squad - remember being really impressed when he played against us at the KC - but faded badly afterwards.

I'd definitely trust Pearson's judgement on his ability in this case. He ought to know if bringing him here is a good decision or not.

I would definitely take stewart, would be a good signing for us. Either him or matt ritchie in my opinion. Even though matt would be a very unlikely signing.

No longer bothered about him. Hasn't progressed in the slightest since he ripped Peltier to shreds in 2011 and has floated around bottom half sides as a result.

He's pacy and can score a goal, but I can't see him challenging for Dyer or Knockaert's spot on a permanent basis so it all depends whether he'd be happy to be a backup player.  He'd be a good one to have at this level for sure.  I certainly wouldn't break the bank for him though.

His agent is hawking a highlights reel on Twitter, hash tagging every club mentioned in the article

Wouldn't be surprised if his agent is the source for this typical transfer window non-story, trying to drum up interest or a better deal

If that video was of some unknown foreigner people would be creaming themselves over him.

The lad had talent, and Pearson managed to get that out of him. He'll be fairly cheap, and we need some wingers with a bit of pace.

Would happily take him if Pearson thought he was worth it.

Has pace, but naff all else to offer us.

And people said the same of Dyer.

Hopefully this means Leeds won't be signing Gradel, hope he goes to the prem. Don't want him strengthening any rivals

Leeds don't have the money to sign someone like Gradel.

well they've just had new investment haven't they? Plus, saint etienne has said gradel will cost around 4/5 million and Leeds look set to buy wells for around 3, so they might have some money...

We always get linked with this bloke and he every transfer he gets more and more obscure. Last time he couldn't get a game at Burnley and I've not heard of him since.

Is Stewart another Marshall who is going backward in his career or does he need someone like NP to get the best out of him. Certainly has talent, but whether he can ever be the player he was when he burst onto the scene at Hull, only Pearson knows.
