Stewart has returned to parent club Hull City following a successful loan stint at The Valley and the Addicks want the 22-year-old back permanently, and they have the finance to do the deal after Belgian millionaire Roland Duchatelet completed his takeover of the club. However, Sky Sports understands that a number of Championship clubs have now made contact with Hull about a deal for Stewart. Understood to be among those clubs are promotion candidates Leicester City, Ipswich and Leeds United, who are all keen to add Stewart to their ranks. Seemed a very good player in the 11/12 season playing in a Pearson assembled squad - remember being really impressed when he played against us at the KC - but faded badly afterwards. Carl the Llama Posted 3 January 2014 Share Posted 3 January 2014 He's pacy and can score a goal, but I can't see him challenging for Dyer or Knockaert's spot on a permanent basis so it all depends whether he'd be happy to be a backup player. The lad had talent, and Pearson managed to get that out of him. He'll be fairly cheap, and we need some wingers with a bit of pace. Would happily take him if Pearson thought he was worth it. Plus, saint etienne has said gradel will cost around 4/5 million and Leeds look set to buy wells for around 3, so they might have some money...
