Happy Fox Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Pete O'Rourke â€@SkySportsPeteO1m Leicester City are lining up a move for Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey. #WWFC #LCFC
Darkon84 Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 It had better only be as back up, rather than a replacement!
Nick Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Kasper to Palace then as they were in for Wayne last week? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25645844 I can't see WH playing second fiddle to Kasper in the Championship........ He may well be being sold?
cityfanlee23 Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 IF kasper goes, I'd take Wayne if he can stay fit...... deserves to be in the premiership IMO, When wolves went down to the championship/league 1, He was behind one of the worst defences I've seen, making fantastic saves and looked reliable... Very injury prone..
Rhysm Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25645844 Second choice to Carl Ikeme - That is worrying

He may well be being sold? Strange one, I still expect Palace to go down and us to go up. I don't see why Palace would appeal to Kasper at the moment.
Fox92 Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 No thanks - he refused to play for Wolves the other week. Don't want that attitude near us.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 He's championship level at best, I doubt their is any truth in this tbh. I think if he hadn't have had those injury problems then he could've been a prem goalie. Kind of like a Craig Gordon
goose2010 Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 according to my wolves support mate, the reason he isn't playing is because he is on a stupid wage and gets a huge appearance bonus per match that's why they are looking to offload. He is a cracking keeper when fit.
The Bear Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 according to my wolves support mate, the reason he isn't playing is because he is on a stupid wage and gets a huge appearance bonus per match that's why they are looking to offload. He is a cracking keeper when fit.I'm afraid your mate is talking bollocks. The reason he isn't in the team is because he came back from a long term injury and Ikeme was playing really well. He rightfully had to wait for his chance. That came the other week and he didn't want to play because he thought a bid from Palace was imminent. He was badly advised. If the club can get the right money for him then they will likely sell as he is probably on a decent wedge and we have more than adequate GK options at the minute. He needs to prove his fitness again but is more than capable of playing in the PL. His only weakness is a slight reluctance to come out of his 6 yard box. Other than that he's a quality keeper.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 No thanks - he refused to play for Wolves the other week. Don't want that attitude near us. When I heard that news I was astonished - what the f*** sort of professional does that? That should be a sackable offence unless it's something understandable like a close family bereavement, but there was no mention of that. I wouldn't want him at the club even as backup.
StanSP Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Is Pete getting confused? Didn't Hennessey refuse to play for Wolves because Palace were going to buy him?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Why would he come here as a back-up? With Kasper leaving in the summer he knows he'll get first team football in the prem.
yorkie1999 Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 I heard the wolves players instigated their fall to league one because wolves had it written into their contracts they would take huge paycuts if they dropped to the championship, but there was nothing in them about league one.
The Bear Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Slight mis-hearing. There was a wage cut for relegation to the Championship. But no wage cut for Championship to League 1. They still had their wages cut, but not when we went down a second time.
willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Perhaps a part exchange deal with Waggy is on the cards
Simonb Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 palace should just buy hennesey and cut us out the loop
Ric Flair Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Always rated him, would be far more confident with him pushing Kasper for a 1st team spot than Conrad. Plus, we've the very real problem that Schmeichel might leave for free in the summer
