Championship player of the year

As much as Vardy should be in the team of the year, they usually pick the front 2/3 as the top scorers so I doubt he'll be in there. I think Drinkwater is a guarantee to be in though

I think we would put forward Drinkwater from ourselves. Generally it's strikers and wingers that win these kind of accolades.

I personally feel without Drinkwater we would be about 5th or 6th this season but it is a team effort of course. We should have a number of players in the championship team of the year but no doubt we will have one or two at best

Who do you reckon is the best player in the Championship? Personally, I think Vardy is the best I have seen this season. Not seen any player better than him

Vardy wins the most improved category, but it would have to probably be Ings, the lad has been on fire this season

That's fine. We'll buy them both in a few months time.

Burnley are also going up though!! So I think they will want to keep Ings. If they are offered a ton of cash they might let him go, but staying up is worth more to them I would have thought. He would be a nice addotion for us though.

Drinkwater, best player in the best team.

Manager of the year has to be Dyche though if he can take Burnley up.

Knowing football though Barton and Redknapp will probably pick up both awards.

Has anyone mentioned Wes Morgan?

He's got to be in the Championship team of the year surely? I can't think of a better centre back in the division.

Drinkwater and Vardy would be the other two.

Championship player of the year is a tough one. Probably Ings.

Trippier or Big Wes

Last season maybe, but both if those haven't been nearly as effective as others this season such as Ings/Drinkwater.

Define 'effective'?

I tell you something. City wouldn't be in the position they are without Wes Morgan, OR Drinkwater..both have been crucial to our success.

James for me he wins the ball pretty much all the time and thus allows us to keep possession without putting our defenders under pressure, doesn't have the goal threat that King does but is more of a dominating presence in the centre of the park and that is why he is a key player for us.
