Munshi Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Vardy and Drinkwater have to be in the Team of the year. Maybe even Kasper too.
LCFC FOX Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 It has to be Danny Ings and Sean Dyche manager of the year currently. My predictions Players player - Drinkwater Fans player - Vardy Fans young player - Moore
Aus Fox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Who decides the winner? Don Goodman so Harry Redknapp for manager of the year and either Trippier or Hughes for player of the year.
Jfox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 As much as Vardy should be in the team of the year, they usually pick the front 2/3 as the top scorers so I doubt he'll be in there. I think Drinkwater is a guarantee to be in though
foxes1988 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 I think we would put forward Drinkwater from ourselves. Generally it's strikers and wingers that win these kind of accolades. I personally feel without Drinkwater we would be about 5th or 6th this season but it is a team effort of course. We should have a number of players in the championship team of the year but no doubt we will have one or two at best
Foxymcoxy Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Drinkwater, indeed. Vardy has been great but there is no way he would win over Ings or Mccormack.
Monsell1976 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Who do you reckon is the best player in the Championship? Personally, I think Vardy is the best I have seen this season. Not seen any player better than himVardy wins the most improved category, but it would have to probably be Ings, the lad has been on fire this season
My Nads Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 That's fine. We'll buy them both in a few months time. Burnley are also going up though!! So I think they will want to keep Ings. If they are offered a ton of cash they might let him go, but staying up is worth more to them I would have thought. He would be a nice addotion for us though.
Guest MattP Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Drinkwater, best player in the best team. Manager of the year has to be Dyche though if he can take Burnley up. Knowing football though Barton and Redknapp will probably pick up both awards.
J.Lisemore Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Surprised nobody has mentioned Kieran Trippier, 13 assists I think he has this season? Looks like a quality player too.
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Has anyone mentioned Wes Morgan? He's got to be in the Championship team of the year surely? I can't think of a better centre back in the division. Drinkwater and Vardy would be the other two. Championship player of the year is a tough one. Probably Ings.
Finnaldo Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Trippier or Big Wes Last season maybe, but both if those haven't been nearly as effective as others this season such as Ings/Drinkwater.
Carl the Llama Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 McCormack, Ings, Drinkwater, Martins... - there are plenty of strong candidates this year.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Last season maybe, but both if those haven't been nearly as effective as others this season such as Ings/Drinkwater. Define 'effective'? I tell you something. City wouldn't be in the position they are without Wes Morgan, OR Drinkwater..both have been crucial to our success.
Happy Fox Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 James for me he wins the ball pretty much all the time and thus allows us to keep possession without putting our defenders under pressure, doesn't have the goal threat that King does but is more of a dominating presence in the centre of the park and that is why he is a key player for us.
