gurru991 Posted 19 May 2015 Share Posted 19 May 2015 We are talking about Liverpool as being a shit club but i just had a look & the are sitting fifth overall ! I think any Leicester fan would give a left nut to be that shitty !! Young players like Sterling need to understand that they need to make the club great rather than a great club choosing them.It will be interesting to see how this one plays out

Guest Posted 20 May 2015 Share Posted 20 May 2015 The Premier League clubs’ ineptitude index shows there is nowhere to hide: http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/may/19/premier-league-clubs-ineptitude-index Own goals .... Top 4 finish I've been banging on for years about how bad we are at throw ins. At last some statistical evidence that proves it. That's only half the story though even if we get it to our own player we always pass it back to the guy who took the throw in and it's often stolen or lost then. Can't believe that we haven't worked on this!

cc_star Posted 20 May 2015 Share Posted 20 May 2015 On Twitter @sportingintelligence is a good account to follow for some good analysis & financials Every year they release Global Sports Salaries Survey, which compares top european football leagues alongside other sports like NHL/NBA/MLB 333 teams, 17 leagues, 7 sports, 9,371 sportsmen & $18bn in wages anyway, here's this year's GSSS http://www.globalsportssalaries.com Unsurprisingly the likes of PSG/Man City etc are top on £102k/wk and £96k/wk average weekly wages, ahead of the likes of the LA Dodgers & New York Yankees Unfortunately the way accounts are reported means the PL is for last season, so we don't appear, but for comparison Villa are 80th with an average weekly pay of £35k, Cardiff 128th with 26k/wk & Norwich 22k/wk

Vacamion Posted 20 May 2015 Share Posted 20 May 2015 How refreshing is it to have a game on telly for which we are not having to pray for the "right" result to keep us safe. Stress free viewing...

Vacamion Posted 20 May 2015 Share Posted 20 May 2015 If we needed Arsenal to win this, imagine how frustrated we'd be at their repeated method of attack, ie 37 passes ending in nothing... I think I want the Arse to win, just to keep the final day even more interesting with 3 clubs fighting relegation.
Col city fan Posted 20 May 2015 Share Posted 20 May 2015 Boring as chuff, but Sunderland are doing exactly the right thing so far. They only need a draw and are restricting the Arsenal to long punts from outside the area. Can they hold out though?
