orangecity23 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 John Moss demonstrating his incompetence again, the foul on Zaha was outside the box there. Still, now we can look forward to him ****ing things up on a grand stage at the FA Cup Final now. Terrible ref, should be nowhere near the Premier League.
tom27111 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 That new Liverpool shirt is disgusting! Who thought that was a good idea????
Carl the Llama Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Yeah I feel bad that Stevie G has to end his career looking like he's getting his hair cut down the barbers.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I'm kind of half watching MOTD, did John Carver just blame the climate? Haha that made me laugh. He said it as if they'd been playing in the Middle East. Also Chris Ramsey saying something about that win giving them a boost ahead of next season as if all those players will still be there.
Callabinho Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Slightly off topic but three, yes THREE professional football players have failed drugs tests, obviously Livermore, Baxter and McCarey. That's absolutely shambolic, three players?

ScouseFox Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 You don't need to. Scholes was far superior to both. Gerrard was/is far far superiorr to scholes (interesting my iPhone wants to cchange this to cajoles) in everu singl way. Gerard is a legend. The best cm I'll ever seen (bar cambiasso obv).
Babylon Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 In the space of 24 hours - Theres gonna be more to this Made me wonder if there has been a change in the testing method, three in such a short space of time is odd.
Aus Fox Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Take your like/dislike of Liverpool out of the equation for a minute and think about the premier league as a whole over the past 22 years (not sure how old some are on here). But if Steven Gerrard is not a premier League legend then I don not know what you have to do to become one. When I think of iconic figures since the premier league began and undeniable legends you have to look at: Giggs Cantona Bergkamp Zola Henry Gerrard Players that time and time again on the biggest stage produced the goods. Any player can have a great game in the premier league or one of the cup competitions but to do it repeatedly in the big moments when the chips are down stands you out from the rest. Yes you can focus on the slip, but that's just as ridiculous as saying Neil Redfern is a premier league legend for scoring for Barnsly at old Trafford. One incident does not define your career, but repeated acts of brilliance to lift your team up when they are down will do. Special players do special things at special times. The hat trick against Everton (2012???) The fa cup final Champions league final That goal against olmpiakos That goal against inter Milan at Anfield The fa cup final against west ham Time and time again he did it. I'm not a Liverpool fan, in fact as far away from a Liverpool fan as you can can get, but what Gerrard has done is far more than just a slip. I'll level you with one question on the debate: Who would have had more influence on our season if we had them in their prime? Gerrard Lampard Scholes Giggs Just as a matter of thought if we had one of these players flying an in their best form this season, which midfielder would have had the most influence and could have propelled us to a higher finish?

Haydos Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 I'm not saying he was shit, because that clearly isn't the case. His loyalty can be commended, but that was at his sacrifice for staying at Liverpool. He could have won so much more if he'd left an average team. "If I win a couple of trophies at Liverpool it will mean an awful lot more to me than if I won 10 at Chelsea or Inter Milan or Real Madrid". You're having a mare mate, give it a rest.
ScouseFox Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Every single way? What about his medal collection? I thought we were talking about ability tbf
Samilktray Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Why has no one in the world pointed out that once Gerrard joins la Galaxy hes no longer a 1 club man.

TJB-fox Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Think there will be one or two jmore twists down the bottom next sunday. Honestly think if Hull beat United then theyll stay up. Would love Sunderland to go down
Guest Bilo Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Think there will be one or two jmore twists down the bottom next sunday. Honestly think if Hull beat United then theyll stay up. Would love Sunderland to go down I genuinely wouldn't be shocked if GD came into it. That'd be bad news for Sunderland, their 8-0 defeat at Southampton and heavy home defeats to Palace and Villa may yet come back to haunt them. Man United's match with Arsenal will be big though, as somebody said on here. If United win, they've a good chance of third and avoiding a qualifying tie for the CL. That'll mean Arsenal will go all out against Sunderland and United will go all out against Hull to secure their automatic group berth. If Arsenal win, it's pretty much season over for them and United which'll give Sunderland a bit more of a chance at the Emirates as Arsenal will have already secured third, and United's visit to Hull will be a dead rubber for them.
Gary Eatfood Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Think there will be one or two jmore twists down the bottom next sunday. Honestly think if Hull beat United then theyll stay up. Would love Sunderland to go down I don't think Hull will score another goal all season.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 I don't think Hull will score another goal all season. Manchester United can be dreadful when they can't be arsed. If the fixture at Hull means nothing to them, I can see them losing. With Sunderland going to Arsenal and Chelsea over the next week, Hull may only need a scumbag 1-0 win to stay up on GD. I agree Hull are favourites to go down though. If Sunderland squeak a point in either of those two games, it's safety for them. I still can't rule Newcastle out either. They might be at home to a failing West Ham side, but Allardyce owes them no favours and isn't likely to grant them any. All it could take is an early goal for West Ham and the SJP crowds turning against Newcastle and they'd be in dire trouble.

Even if Man Utd don't perform I can still see it finishing 0-0 at best for Hull. But as we've proven in the last 8 games anything is possible.
LanguedocFox Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Think there will be one or two jmore twists down the bottom next sunday. Honestly think if Hull beat United then theyll stay up. Would love Sunderland to go down I don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but on yesterday's Final Score on the Beeb, someone said that six years ago, Hull, Newcastle and Sunderland were fighting for the final relegation spot on the last day of the season. Hull were playing Man U, but they all three lost and Newcastle went down. I wouldn't mind that, although I think Hull are doomed
GingerrrFox Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Scholes all day everyday. He was the maestro. Ultimate passer of the ball, worked his socks off, got stuck in, scored goals for fun. He would have scored even more but for the players he had in front of him. He had so many options he didn't have to carry a side like Gerrard did.
VinceNoir Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Anyone watching Swansea? Been a really entertaining match so far
