cityfanlee23 Posted 13 May 2014 Share Posted 13 May 2014 Never really heard anybody say it to be honest, So it's a difficult one for me to get my head round! Difficult to say the least to attempt to say it on here... I've got Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha - "Veech-eye" "Sriv-ad-han-ah-pra-bah" How the hell is it pronounced? dsr-burnley Posted 13 May 2014 Share Posted 13 May 2014 Sri Lankan names aren't hard to pronouince, because they don't have many (if any) sounds that we don't have in English - unlike say French or German languages. Sri Lankan names just go on a long time, which makes them challenging - practice for ten minutes, and you'll get it off pat no problem.

dsr-burnley Posted 13 May 2014 Share Posted 13 May 2014 What do Sri Lankan names have anything to do with it? Well, now I've googled him, that's a very good point. I just assumed that very very long names (longer even than burnley's chairman) are usually Sri Lankan.

TheLeftSide Posted 14 May 2014 Share Posted 14 May 2014 You don't need to pronounce his surname if you ever talk to him just his first name preceded by 'Khun'. Khun means Mr/Mrs in Thai which is unisex and is always followed by just the first name. KHUN VICHAI (CUN VISH-I)
