Starting to get nervous about this now. Verbal agreement and actual signature are very different. It's been a week since Kasper agreed to stay but still no confirmation of the deal :/ Is he away or something?

He is away on international duty so won't hear much until at least by the end of the week as he got a game on Wednesday against sweden

As I mentioned a few pages back he's on international duty.

He was an unused substitute v Hungary on Thursday and Denmark are playing Sweden this Wednesday.

Fair enough, hopefully it'll be done as soon as he's back then. It still scares me that he'll be completely out of contract if it's not sorted soon. Imagine if he has a blinder against Sweden, may still have big teams watching him!

That's got nothing to do with it, the players representatives are the ones who negotiate the contracts not the players themselves. Obviously, the players will want to know how much of a wage rise they're getting but that can easily be done over the phone.

He can't sign until he's back in Leicester, his representatives can't sign for him.

Surely it would need the players signature though?

Obviously this could be emailed/printed or a representative could fly out to Kasper get him to sign it e.t.c, but if Kaspers gave his word perhaps the club trust that and are waiting on his return.

You ever thought his Denmark manager may have banned all contract and transfer talk.

And we have to wait till he gets back from Brazil.

Our representative can't walk into the Danish camp Oh kasper just sign this old chap.

Kasper Schmeichel reveals why he TURNED DOWN Man Utd, Arsenal & Milan to stay at Leicester LEICESTER keeper Kasper Schmeichel has revealed why he turned down interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and AC Milan to stay with the Foxes next season.

Schmeichel signed a new four-year deal with Nigel Pearson's men last week and while he has admitted he did have attracted options he has refused to be drawn on exactly which clubs were involved.

He told Ekstra Bladet: "I can not put concrete things on the table.

"But there have been opportunities, and there were some very interesting proposals."

The 27-year-old has claimed however that his first choice was always to remain with Leicester rather than jeopardise his progress by joining a bigger club.

He added: "My goal has always been to play in the Premier League, and it'll be with Leicester now, and I have it really good in the club.

"I do not think there's any reason to start taking chances with my career right now.

"You never get a guarantee to play, but I know I have a good chance to play in Leicester."

He signed last week?!?!

Sounds like he's pretty much signed, signing next week as I suggested last week when he gets back from international duty, ITK  (Or simply using common sense)

Kasper Schmeichel has revealed he decided to stay at Leicester City because he wanted to play regularly in the Premier League.

The City goalkeeper, who was out of contract in the summer, has agreed to commit his future at the King Power Stadium, reportedly on a four-year deal.

The 27-year-old will put pen to paper once he returns from international duty with Denmark.

Schmeichel was one of City’s stand-out performers this season, keeping 17 clean sheets, and was named in the PFA Championship team of the year for the second season in a row.

He attracted the attention of a number of high-profile clubs, including AC Milan, Arsenal, Southampton, Olympiakos and reportedly his father Peter’s former club, Manchester United.

Schmeichel admitted there had been some “interesting†opportunities but said the desire to play regular football was one of the main factors in his decision to remain at City.

“There have been opportunities, and there have been some very interesting things,†Schmeichel told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet.

“My goal has always been to play in the Premier League, and that will be at Leicester. I feel really good about the club.

“I do not think there is any reason to start taking chances with my career right now.

“You are never guaranteed to play, but I do know that I have a good chance to play in Leicester.

“For me, time has always been the most important. If it had not been the case, then there might have been some switches considered.

“But that’s not what I’m interested in right now. For me, it’s about playing and trying to establish myself as a Premier League goalkeeper.â€

Pretty much the same article that has been posted above but from the Leicester Mercury.

He really does seem to have his head screwed on. Could have easily gone to Arsenal or United for the money but is one of those players who just wants to play football, something of which is a bit of a dying breed nowadays (just look at Sagna).

I doubt Arsenal would offer him more money than us tbh. Definitely not enough more for him to want to warm the bench.

We are hearing that Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is poised to sign a new deal at the club. Schmeichel's current deal expires this summer, but he has agreed a new four-year deal at the King Power Stadium.
