I also remember the Jong Tae Se, Maynard, and Shane Long signing... Oh, wait.

I'm not making it personal, but the more info you get that is wrong, the more people lose trust in your sources.

Jong Tae Se!!!! Foxestalk legend

I remember him telling us we'd bid, and the various stages that the bid was at, don't think he ever confirmed the signing was going to happen. Stop being a dick and be thankful someone had some inside info. That info isn't always going to lead to an actual signing.

I'm not being a dick? I suggested why people may not be as trustful of his and other sources of information.

Can we open a new thread about who knows what about who or what and leave this thread to the topic.

The fact is Kasper has agreed a new deal, and all being well it will be signed and sealed very soon!! :D

But like I said he never said these players would definitely sign, he told us the club had bid. It's people like you who see a name and the word bid and start wetting themselves with excitement that make people think Bert is giving duff info, when actually all he's doing is telling what's happening. He's told us plenty of time prior to a player signing that we're in the process of trying to sign that player to prove he's not a charlatan. Now, stop bring a dick.

Neither of them had anything to do with me from the origin.

Schmiechel could play awesome through season and we go down still but still be worth a wedge go check la liga stats the clubs who are battling to stay up are the clubs with keepers who are stand out performers

Ive said before and I'll say again... if anyone is so daft as to accept sources from anywhere other than the club, then more fool them. This isn't a knock at Bertie. But literally anyone could make up stuff about who we are linked with and for how much etc etc etc.

I wait and see until the deal is done and official sources at the club tell us so.

Its an obvious piece of good business for the club, IMHO.

  1. We want him to be our keeper.
  2. If he is so attractive to these clubs chasing Champion's League football as rumoured,  now they will have to buy him for who knows what figure.

They only way we lose is if he doesn't perform.  There is slight risk there but he is so driven I see him stepping up and impressing.

He will be fine in the prem, he acquitted himself very well in the friendly against England, and you can bet your bollocks he will make match winning saves for us I would go as far to say he will be one of the factors in enabling us to avoid the drop.

£30k per week with addons

Will equate to £40k a week if we stay up

Same offer will be made to new signing - £30k per week basic, will be £40k if we stay up

Fantastic.

If true, I like this idea as it gives some incentive to actually play your heart out for the club. If you got £40000 a week irrespective of your future you may not give that much in games towards the end of the season - but with a half million pound bonus it may just motivate you to give that extra 10%.

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel will sign his new four-year contract this week.

The Denmark international has agreed the new deal and will commit his future to the club, despite interest from several other clubs.

Schmeichel has been fundamental to City’s promotion push and has been included in the last two Championship teams of the year.

The 27-year-old will become one of City’s highest earners but reports he is set to earn £40,000 per week are wide of the mark, the Mercury understands.

Striker David Nugent is also in advanced stages of his negotiations and could also commit his future to the club this week.
