ScouseFox Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 less than an hour ago. always good. Piers Morgan @piersmorgan · 57m Massive toss to win...and lose. Advantage India. #EngvInd
StanSP Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Picture an Indian. Picture a facepalm. Put the 2 together and you have me. This is embarrassing.
leicsmac Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 This partnership has gone on too long already. Time it was broken.
StanSP Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Dhoni delivering a true captain's innings. Masterful.
Captain... Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 5 down before lunch, amazing, now lets let Jimmy loose on Jadeja. Picture an Indian. Picture a facepalm. Put the 2 together and you have me. This is embarrassing. Is it wrong that I'm picturing you naked?
purpleronnie Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Glad it was jordan who still seems to be struggling.

theessexfox Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 I know he's struck but for me Jordan won't make it for England; his run up is too stuttery, he doesn't attack the crease and he's spraying it around a lot.
Wycombe Fox Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Gotta love a bit of Boycott "If my captain had batted first on this, I would have hit him with my bat."

He's got a funny action and I'm pretty sure someone said if he doesn't fix his action he will be out the game in a few years with serious injury, he generates all his pace at the end, rather than in his run up, if he can get his run up sorted then he could probably bowl even quicker.

He's got to do something because the aussies will have a field day with him.
Super_horns Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Great start but isn't this when things get tricky!
Captain... Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Great start but isn't this when things get tricky! Would be nice to pick up a few more cheap wickets and break this partnership, but we are in an amazing position at the moment.
Captain... Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 8 down, don't know much about Aaron, but Pankaj is a true number 11, we'll be batting soon. As for Jordan the way he runs in it looks like one leg is shorter than the other, weird and it is impressive he can generate so much pace after lolling in like that.
Corky Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Five for Broad Edit: Six for Broad. 6-25. 152 all out.
Captain... Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Nice one Broady. Now lets see if Cook can come out and play until the end of the day, we are in a great position no pressure to get runs, still question marks over him, we'll see if the last test was him turning a corner and a return to form or a one off. 6 ducks in an innings, now that is impressive.
Captain... Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 That is actually a joint record 6 ducks in an innings and only once before has it been a first innings: http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/283040.html Most ducks in a match, for both sides is 11 can't find the stats for most ducks by a team in a match.
Captain... Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Another failure for Robson, 2 scores above 30 in 10 innings is not good enough for an opener, especially on what have been generally good batting wickets, his wickets often seem cheap and easily avoidable. It was a good ball to get him out, but leaving a ball like that is what you expect from tail enders not openers. What other options do we have, Carberry, Root, Trott to return as opener?

Has he burnt his bridges after the criticism following last winter's Ashes?
