foxfanazer Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 Nooooooo Sean Dyche has a daughter who goes to the same Brownies group as mine, saw him a couple of weeks ago picking her up. On his phone I specifically heard "how many years does he want?" Wonder if it was about Nuge !!
Mark_from_USA Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 He scored...... 6 goals for them in the PL. Hm, another 6 goal PL scorer
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 !! True story mate, he was standing with his 14 plate 5 series beemer. Obviously not necessarily about Nugent or even football at all but I swear down that's what he said
ronnup Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 Not the end of the world if he did as long as there is a replacement in line.
Babylon Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 I couldn't care what anyone else achieved and I am not debating how difficult the league is. 6-7 goals in a season for a striker is poor and I would bet that any striker who got this total would be disappointed with their return. That's utterly nonsensical, what others are achieving shows the current landscape out there and how difficult it is for strikers at lower ranked clubs to get goals. If you are going to rule out statistics, then what actually are you basing your opinions on?
Nick Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 Nugent will be a market trader rather than a leader inside 3 years if he plays in that Burnley side.
Babylon Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 Errr... Do you think that they would be massively disappointed by scoring that amount? Well done for ignoring the Akinbiyi stat whilst trying to rubbish what I had put. Heskey scored 9 for us in 96/97, 10 in 97/98, 6 in 98/99 Now, with that in mind do you think perhaps there might have been a bit more to fact Ade is classed as a bit of a joke? Like the TWO goals he got in our relegation season, or his all round play, or his ability to miss lots of piss easy chances.
Guest Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 Pearson loves Nuuge. No way he doesn't sign a new contract. It's only June 10th guys!
MGLCFC Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 The guy is on holiday apparently and talks are due to resume on his return - this is what it said in the Mercury a few days ago.
WhispyWizard Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 Not the end of the world if he did as long as there is a replacement in line. Selling him to a rival next year would be a big mistake, hes bound to score for them against us if it does happen. Nugent loves scoring against clubs hes already played for.
Ric Flair Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 The guy is on holiday apparently and talks are due to resume on his return - this is what it said in the Mercury a few days ago. He is back, he was up Nando's with his missus yesterday.
sylofox Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 Suppose you gotta laugh if the rumours are true. He's just spent more on a house in Countesthorpe than that club is worth. He could have bought half the town for 400k.
80footgiraffe Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 If we lose Nuge AND Lloyd I'll be genuinely p!ssed off at the club for not securing them. Purely because I like them
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 If we lose Nuge AND Lloyd I'll be genuinely p!ssed off at the club for not securing them. Purely because I like them Agreed. Especially after Taylor-Fletcher and Wasilewski were sorted so quickly, in my opinion 2 players less likelyto be useful and iup to scratch in the Prem
sylofox Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 If we lose Nuge AND Lloyd I'll be genuinely p!ssed off at the club for not securing them. Purely because I like them So you would rather we gave out un acceptable contracts to players again so you keep your favourite player. I would think both nuge and Lloyd have been offered fare contracts If they can get better good luck to them. Personally as good as both have been for us I do not want another Gally or 2 hanging around as they are past it over the hill or no longer good enough. Just because we have a little money no need to piss it up the wall. Agreed. Especially after Taylor-Fletcher and Wasilewski were sorted so quickly, in my opinion 2 players less likelyto be useful and iup to scratch in the Prem GTF is the one I am confused about not good enough to force his way into a championship side. So we play him enough so we have to offer him another year As for Wasa why would you not want a 60 cap international with us.

I think he'll really struggle with the pace of the prem
buzzy Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 Agreed. Especially after Taylor-Fletcher and Wasilewski were sorted so quickly, in my opinion 2 players less likelyto be useful and iup to scratch in the Prem oh my god what the hell are you on about. do you not realise that those 2 players are not asking for stupid contracts unlike dyer and nugent. if they do not want to be part of a premier league team because they want stupid contracts then they can go and rot in the championship with other teams

lgfualol Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 Is Emmo somebody we should listen to or was he just making a joke? It's the type of comment you'd write for a joke

I would think both nuge and Lloyd have been offered fare contracts If they can get better good luck to them. The fact he is one of my favourite players is secondary. He's a great player and our top scorer for 3 seasons, we should be signing him up again, if we don't I'd be annoyed, because that money could have gone on someone less productive such as Ulloa or Fryatt. Nugent should be part of this squad and if he leaves, I think we'll miss his presence. Personally as good as both have been for us I do not want another Gally or 2 hanging around as they are past it over the hill or no longer good enough. emmo1987 Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 Someone i know on fb posted it. He says his dad knows people at the club. Hes one of the main sponsors at the club so you never know. Hope its not true.
ToeKneeHandCock Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 If it's true that Nuge's wage demands have been the stumbling block, surely Burnley can't offer him more than us.
SlaneyLCFC Posted 10 June 2014 Posted 10 June 2014 If it's true that Nuge's wage demands have been the stumbling block, surely Burnley can't offer him more than us. Maybe they can now that they have some pound notes from getting second spot
