LeicesterBran Posted 11 June 2014 Posted 11 June 2014 I think we will lose or draw against Italy. But, I want us to set up as attack minded as possible. Think that Rooney should be dropped to benchas he never performs for England on the International stage and would rather that Ross Barkley shall start. But, I doubt it.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 June 2014 Posted 11 June 2014 I CANT ****ING WAIT FOR THE WORLD CUP
Jam Posted 11 June 2014 Posted 11 June 2014 I honestly don't think Pirlo will be of as much threat as people are predicting, I think the attacking pace of our players will me an it'll be a fast paced game, which won't fit the style of the Italians and pirlo who likes time on the ball to play a killer ball. Plus he may even have to do some tracking back! Haha
foxfanazer Posted 11 June 2014 Posted 11 June 2014 Just hope we go for it. I can accept us going out at the group stage just so long as we have a go.
Beliall Posted 11 June 2014 Posted 11 June 2014 You sure about that? It's in Russia next lad Christ im having a mare on here last few days!
AKCJ Posted 11 June 2014 Posted 11 June 2014 Not seen much Italian football this season but apparently Pirlo has really struggled with recent International games. From what i've read, Juve have mainly played with a non-Italian frontline this season which could be part of the problem. I've heard that Montolivo was the one to keep an eye on but he's injured. Provided we don't just let Pirlo play, we'll be fine. Whoever said that the Italians won't be making special arrangements for Gerrard needs to wake up.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 June 2014 Posted 11 June 2014 I don't get how the pitch being gash will be that much of a hinderance to us anymore than the Italians, we're hardly renowned for our slick, on the deck game are we?
Fox92 Posted 11 June 2014 Posted 11 June 2014 the pitch looks horrific. The organisation for the WC by Brazil has been a shambles so far I don't get it. Surely when a Country applies for the World Cup, they've got their plans in place and once given the go ahead the plans are there and everything needs to be built, whether that be grounds, transport, parking etc. Once the World Cup is awarded what's the gap? 7 or 8 years? They've had nearly 10 years to complete this and it's a disaster. I don't get it, especially from Brazil who are the greatest footballing Nation ever.
Bert Posted 11 June 2014 Posted 11 June 2014 dont worry, its in qatar next!Has Qatar moved to Russia then?
MC Prussian Posted 11 June 2014 Posted 11 June 2014 dont worry, its in qatar next! Roman Abramovich disapproves.
BoneDog Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 That pitch is an absolute disgrace. Thought that FIFA would have made sure pitches were in better nick than that long ago. Shouldn't be allowed to get to this stage in such a state.
Dan Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 That pitch is almost comical. COME ON ENGLAND. COME ON ENGLAND.
Buzzell Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 looks like a farmers field. The lawn in my back yard is better than that.I'm going for a 1-1 draw. Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Henderson Gerrard Sterling Barkley Rooney Sturridge
Unabomber Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 That pitch is absolutely disgusting. This is the World Cup in Brazil not the world asparagus growing championship. How can it be in such a terrible state so at this time?!
StanSP Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 The turf behind the goal and behind the advertising hoardings looks better lol
Leicesterpool Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 1-1 Cahill scores header in the 20 minute, and Italy to equalize in the 72nd.
Grandad. Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 Have the FA officials had their pitch inspection yet?
AKCJ Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 The officials say it's due to unusually high humidity levels in Manaus. But the rumour is that it's actually from poor fertilisers that hasn't done the job it was supposed to do.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 Looks alright on Henry Winter's latest tweet....
Corky Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 EXCLUSIVE: NEVILLE GIVES AWAY TACTICS TO BEAT ITALY CARELESSLY WE'RE DOOMED DISGRACE Or, as the picture showed, he was holding a piece of paper that the cameraman took a photo of and then decided to zoom in really closely to show everyone what it said. Thanks to the Mirror for this, and accompanying phrases like "unwittingly revealed" (when no one would have a clue what it said unless the picture was enlarged and zoomed in), really helps the cause.
