Ex-Leicester City player news

Jermaine Beckford and Matt Mills both released by Bolton Wanderers. Heskey in talks for a new deal though.

Matt Mills.

Remember when Ian Stringer said Mills is just the sort of character needed to help "carry out Sven's plans and deliver the team to the promised land"....

Sadly for Ian, it's all on record...

Key Man: Matt Mills. Solid centre half and a Leicester-born defender who turned down Premier League Wolves to join Sven's revolution.

Replaced by Vardy and Morgan for £2 million.

This is where someone needs to trawl back and find one of Dangerous Tigers' 'Pearson is a second rate manager who'll get nowhere because he can't work with high profile players' posts.

Another one of those that were touted on here (Thracian, most likely) as being destined for great things...

You had to be there to understand how funny this was

It was one of the funniest away games I've been to. 4000 City fans singing this made the night even better. Roll up, 3-0, 3 points back down the m1. Job done.

Could this ex-Leicester City winger be perfect for Leeds United?

BY RYAN INGHAM  MAY 30, 2015 FILED UNDER  JONNY HAYESLEEDS

With Leeds United severely lacking both pace and width, Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes would be a perfect addition to the fold at Elland Road.

Leeds United should look at Jonny Hayes

Hayes has been a constant performer for Scottish side Aberdeen and a move for the talented Irish winger could be quite viable this summer.

In a good season for the club and player, Hayes has 4 goals and 13 assists in the SPL and Europa League this year.

The former Leicester, Northampton and Cheltenham midfielder has previously struggled in England but has now found his feet in Scotland, and a move back to England to face his demons could be a very enticing offer.

The obvious reason that an offer from a Championship side would be very intriguing for the winger, with the standard of football being better and a chance to reach one of the best leagues in the world being a big pull for Hayes.

This would not be the first time that Leeds United have secured talent on the cheap from Scotland, with the notable transfer ofRobert Snodgrass from Livingstone working out to be a fantastic transfer.

Hayes is still only 27-years-old and still has some of the best years of his career left. A move for Hayes could be a quite easy option, with Aberdeen not expected to demand a high fee for the player if an offer was put in.

Leeds fans, would you be happy to see Hayes at Elland Road next season? Have your say at FLW.

Wasn't he working for the Irish FA handing grants out to grass roots football clubs?

If say all credit to him, and before you all say well he got paid.

All the Irish internationals give their match and appearance fees to charity.

That's common knowledge in Ireland.

I think we as Leic fans are getting a bit above ourselves now we are in the Prem, this time next years we could all be licking our wounds.

Our signings for this season have been poor, and handing out 3-4 year contracts to unproven players spells disaster to me.

Pearson to be sacked by Late Dec is my prediction.

Pro Pearson ??

not news, more of a question?

Is Lloyd Dyer still a Watford player and a premier league star (according to the mirror).

Could he feature for them next season or likely be loaned/sold?

Signed a 3 year deal when he moved, so he's still there at the moment. Probably loan or sell him though, he barely featured last year and was loaned to Birmingham.
