mozartfox Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Danns st ledger Gallagher = 250 grand a month. Please no.... This cannot be true? Brazil and Parlour like a drink most evenings and are fully paid up members of the "CRAFT" Club.
Lionator Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Alan Brazil is like Alan Young but on gas.
BoyJones Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Chill out. We lost about 35 mill last financial year from memory, but a lot of the loss was paper entries, ie depreciation of player values etc, tactical decision with FFP about to hit. If we lose say 15 million year ending 2014, our fine won't be more than about 5 mill - chicken feed for the premier. If our Whelan is to be believed, we will not be paying any fine, our losses will be less than 8 mill. In any case FFP IMO is illegal, I hope QPR fight it, not my favourite team, but I will support them on this issue. It's like the Mafia making the rules, riding roughshod over people and railroading them via the fear factor. Anyway back to the real world, see you all for a drink in the rugby club on Stanley Matthews Way. Me and my son will be there about 1pm to take in the Man City game. Wear your colours!!!
dsr-burnley Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Leicester's last published accounts show a loss of £35m and a debt write off of £120m, don't they? That's why certain pundits who don't follow the club as closely as you think there will be trouble with FFP. As it happens, they only trouble is likely to be if they see through your accountants' unsubtle attempt to cook the books by writing down player values so the losses hit before FFP, not after. And I doubt they'll be taking too much notice of that because they're going to have enough to worry about making the fines stick against QPR, Blackburn, Bolton and whatever others are vastly over budget.
FuriousFox46 Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 We signed 9 players including Cambiasso, Upson, Albrighton, Lawrence and Ulloa for the same amount of money that Fulham signed McCormack for. That's not hit the headlines though...
bovril Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Should've stuck to Gardeners World the cretin. Great tits though.
fazzyfox Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Fascinating fazzyfox fact - Ray Parlour supplied the voice for Henrys Cat in the cartoon series.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Too much hate for talkSPORT on this thread for my liking *ducks for cover*

UpTheLeagueFox Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 #weekoff . you back this sat Yeah, I skilfully chose the international break to disappear for some sunshine and fun!
ozleicester Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 Is there an alternative to talk sport... i listen on my comp at work and on the drive home though tunein.(yes i lead a sad little life) I could put up with the constant bumming of the "big" clubs... if they didnt continually rabbit on about Talksport... FFS, we are already listening.. you are preaching to the fvcking converted. The average ad break... MC Prussian Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 We signed 9 players including Cambiasso, Upson, Albrighton, Lawrence and Ulloa for the same amount of money that Fulham signed McCormack for. That's not hit the headlines though... It's covered by the parachute payments for relegated teams from the Premier League, isn't it? They also sold and loaned out a couple of high earners to cut the wage bill. From what I understand, they're now playing a lot of youngsters and unknowns.

I don't understand why you choose to show a swastica?
Andy King Power Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 Hi ozleicester, I do not wish to offend you, but do you not feel that your profile picture may offend certain people? I don't understand why you choose to show a swastica? I think it would only offend those that are not familiar with its original meaning, which is used by many other cultures. It's not on a 45 degree angle, so it's not a reference to that swastika. Not trying to defend it, but just saying that's not the intention ozleicester had in mind.

I don't understand why you choose to show a swastica? Cheers and thanks for your message, as AndyKing mentioned, what i have placed is not the generally recognised (Nazi) swastika, (you may note its arms are at different angles) but actually the Hindu version and to be fair im not religious so i probably shouldnt use it either, but i like the intent of it ....good luck, good fortune and wellbeing which was why i placed here, to bring a little positivity around the place Also having had your response its good that it might help some people who see it and might be offended to understand the difference I think it would only offend those that are not familiar with its original meaning, which is used by many other cultures. Oz has the symbol used to represent Hinduism, which the Germans used to make the swastika as Hindu bhrAmins are thought by many to be Aryans, the supreme race. Gandhi himself was a nazi sympathetic and believed in the artan philosophy The only people that might be offended are Hindus.
Finnegan Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 It's not only a Hindu symbol either, it has meanings in Buddhism and Taoism. You see loads over ancient architecture in East Asia.
filbertway Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 Still, all I'm picturing is a beauitful blonde with blue eyes typing away. With a semi nude "Hitler Oiled Up" calendar behind him. Also kind of back on topic, is Colin Murray still on talksport? I used to love his show in the morning.
Sir Fynwy Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 It's not only a Hindu symbol either, it has meanings in Buddhism and Taoism. You see loads over ancient architecture in East Asia. Use google maps in Japan and it pops up all over because it is used to mark temples.
Shipman Out Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 Jonny Vaughan's Sat and Sun morning warm up show on Talksport with James Brown is highly amusing. His James Brown "Leeeeds United YORKshire" impression is a highlight as is his Adrian Durham impression, but both not as good as the Woy Hodgeson one as Danny out of Withnail & I. Brazil needs Porky Parry back with him. Superb morning banter. All those who let Talksport wind you up "why so serious!" You can always choose the middle class liberal loving Radio 5 who's football coverage is mixed in with liberal debates about how to be more accepting and liberal.
bovril Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 From Talksport to a swastika. Actually that's not as big a leap as I first thought....
notnow john Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 Hawksby and Jacobs is a witty entertaining show,I like it.
oohaahmustafa Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 Jonny Vaughan is very very funny. Colin Murray's show is quite good. Adrian Durham used to piss me off, actually find him quite funny now as he's just says ridiculous things to wind people up and people fall for it everytime. Never listen to there commentary, 5live all the way for that.
