JonnyBoy Posted 25 October 2014 Share Posted 25 October 2014 By that token, Vardy should be dropped too. goals and assist then, vardy has given 1000% more to his performances than Nugent has
JonnyBoy Posted 25 October 2014 Share Posted 25 October 2014 Goalscorers are judged on how many goals they score, and you've got to be a retard to think that's how he's been set up this season - he's played as a link player, and very well - look how ulloa has tailed off without him playing just in front of the defence. you have got to be a retard to be defending him. tell me... how many goals from open play has he scored and how many assists has he had so far this season? anyone can play a simple ball, i cant remember the last time he didn't look for the easy option. you talk about this link up play bollox, so he is good at playing the ball sideways or back to a player ten yards away from him as that's all he has done this season
Grewks Posted 25 October 2014 Author Share Posted 25 October 2014 he was good enough in our first five games. hence why this thread was made after game 6... View my posts from last season....

Charl91 Posted 25 October 2014 Share Posted 25 October 2014 yes but we've already established many pages back you don't like nugent so your views have to be taken with a severe pinch of salt... Why can you not differentiate between not thinking a player is very good, and disliking them? Nothing against Nugent, seems like a top bloke. Still don't think he's good enough though. ScouseFox Posted 25 October 2014 Share Posted 25 October 2014 the difference is some people comment, like today, on a poor performance after a genuinely poor performance. some people comment on how bad nugent was when he has actually played well and blame him for things he is completely not at fault for, because they don't like him. it's pretty simple really. Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 25 October 2014 Share Posted 25 October 2014 Another poor game today, but don't see why he should be singled out. Ulloa and Vardy were just as bad.

Are strikers judged on goals or how much they '%' they give in their performances ?!
Dickov22 Posted 25 October 2014 Share Posted 25 October 2014 I don't think we'll see Nugent for a while after that today. I bet defenders love marking him, it's so bloody easy.

Master Fox Posted 25 October 2014 Share Posted 25 October 2014 Ulloa not had a shot on goal in four games. That's diabolical, fvcking awful. Everyone signal player is shit at the moment.
AKCJ Posted 25 October 2014 Share Posted 25 October 2014 Playing poorly is one thing... Giving the ball away is one thing.... But being the most experienced player on the pitch who isn't in a defensive position, and shying away from the ball is embarassing. De laet was giving the ball away, as was drinkwater, ulloa etc...but they continued to get on the ball and try something. Nuge just left everybody to get on with it and offered nothing. There wasn't a single positive from his performance again, and his constant arguing with the ref is embarassing. You're so ****ing boring. Did he shag your missus or something? Your vendetta against him is tragic. Get a grip man.
GingerrrFox Posted 25 October 2014 Share Posted 25 October 2014 It's SERVICE... its crap!!!Vardy, Nugent, Ulloa.. it don't matter. Our midfield creativity is nonexistent. . Yeah but with the current position Nugent is occupying it's part of his remit to create chances. Look at the players that play behind the striker in that Number 10 role for other teams; David Silva, Mata etc hell even Gylfi Sigurdsson. They are there to create as well as score. Nugent is seriously lacking in creativity.

Nugent is seriously lacking in creativity. You're comparing about 60m worth of talent to Nugent. People expect him to be some sort of footballing genius despite the fact that we signed him on a free from Portsmouth. He works hard for the side, makes a few chances and scores the odd goal. But people make the mistake of thinking he's something that he's not. Accept that he's not really Premier League material and look at his positives. We all know that he'll be one of the first to be replaced as we look to strengthen, but also acknowledge that he's worked damned hard for this side in the years he's been here and has always given his all for the side. People are so quick to have a go now, it's unbelievable. He's one of the few players that we've got that has over 50 goals for the club. But unfortunately he's not good enough for this level if we want to push on and look at players like Gylfi Sigurdsson.
theessexfox Posted 26 October 2014 Share Posted 26 October 2014 Was good in the Championship and I'm grateful for it but he's not cutting it at this level. That said, I'd like to see him up front with Vardy against West Brom, our successful partnership from last year hasn't yet been played.

Ulloa, Vardy, Nugent... all impotent today.. why? We created Zero.. I agree to an extent Col, we created nothing, and at times we saw Vardy and Ulloa out on the wing which is just ridiculous. Nugent was dreadful though, utterly woeful. He's so easy to mark, never ever looks like taking a player on, making a chance for himself, doesn't put himself about. At least when you're marking Vardy you know he's gonna try and take you on and he's going to be aggressive. At least you know marking Ulloa he's a big man, he's good in the air and is a good finisher. What does Nugent give you to worry about? Zilch
