Corky Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 I think, after today, Andy King must be wondering what he's done wrong? Drinkwater, usually the best of our midfield IMO, was poor today. Not a lot, but then Hammond hadn't either, whilst Drinkwater was our best player last season. It's tough choices and King was written off last season as not being good enough for our side. Look at Hamer, was slagged off as a complete dud in pre-season, now is the undisputed number one in some eyes. Opinions change from game-to-game, Col.
MPH Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Ive not posted much today, having been out on the piss. But I'm not surprised what I'm reading, from the usual suspects. These games happen and will continue to do so. Its a marathon, not a sprint. And get some balance people. We were a free kick (beautifully taken) away from being 6th tonight. That's 6th..in the Premier League. Shit happens. No game in this division is easy. Beautifully said!

I think I could have scored that today, Kasper practically left an open goal for the lad (who even said so himself when interviewed on five live)
Webbo Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 I find Schlupp such an incredibly frustrating player. He has the pace, and he shows glimpses of brilliance, but my god his shooting is dreadful. Needs some serious work in the final third, otherwise he will never make it. His pace is very useful but he's lucky to be playing at this level, his shooting and decision making is poor imo.
Dickov22 Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 His pace is very useful but he's lucky to be playing at this level, his shooting and decision making is poor imo. I think we should stick with him, he's got something for sure. Yeah his decision making is often terrible, but he can be very good too. Still young
LCFC Rennie Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Matty James................. What was he thinking? In his defence he does support Burnley. Then again, so does schmeichel by looks of it.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Look, we got a point, we never lost did we? What happened to clapping the players off the pitch? We didn't get promoted expecting anything other than staying up did we? I would still take 17th right now. People now think that we are Man City and should be winning every game. That's not the case. Burnley was obviously going to put up a good fight, and I knew that it would be a very tough game, and just like people underestimated us, we certenly underestimated them. EVERY game in the Premier league is hard and unpredictable. Bring on Newcastle.
bovril Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Am I the only one thought Drinky played well? I thought so, too. I thought he did everything we expect Drinkwater to do, a lot of the time he looked confident and used the ball really well. If we'd had a decent midfielder alongside him we probably would have won the game.
st albans fox Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 His pace is very useful but he's lucky to be playing at this level, his shooting and decision making is poor imo. Scored the first and had an instrumental part in the second. I thought he was one of our better players today.
Corky Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 People did clap, a few booed as you would expect but there was no public display of petulance. Silent frustration and head shaking appeared to be the main reaction.
Stadt Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 I thought so, too. I thought he did everything we expect Drinkwater to do, a lot of the time he looked confident and used the ball really well. If we'd had a decent midfielder alongside him we probably would have won the game.He runs with the ball so well, not in a Mahrez sense but the way he drives forwards almost drives the whole team forwards and for me he was the only player to come out of the game with much credit.
Dickov22 Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Am I the only one thought Drinky played well? I thought he did pretty well. Miles better than he was at Palace
gazzer Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 gah! we're gonna be last on match of the day because there was no premier league football on display
Stadt Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 The little step back arfield takes really pisses me off. Schmeichel? The number of sprints was down because we weren't playing on the counter
Corky Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 No different to Vardy and Rafael, so there you go, we get some, others go against us.
ScouseFox Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 so that's all our fans, their free kick scorer and a unanimous agreement of motd pundits that agree Kasper should never have given him that much to aim at. nightmare.
maddog Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Hamer needs a run of games. If Joe Hart can get dropped multiple times as England keeper then Kasper needs to for something other than injury and suspension. I believe Hamer will not only be far more commanding with set plays but improve the defence's confidence too. And our only clean sheet all season was with Hamer in goal where he made a few outstanding shot stopping saves in the second half, as well as claiming crosses like a proper keeper. That was a Stoke side that only lost 3/19 at home all last season.
chapero82 Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 so that's all our fans, their free kick scorer and a unanimous agreement of motd pundits that agree Kasper should never have given him that much to aim at. nightmare. Even Wallace said so more or les he said "no offence to Kasper, but he gave me a lot to aim for"

Jace Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Robbie Savage on MOTD has never been more spot on, the comparisons of runs compared to against Man Utd was incredibly poor, Schmeichels positioning terrible its not like the ball went in anywhere near the corner
EnglishOxide Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 so that's all our fans, their free kick scorer and a unanimous agreement of motd pundits that agree Kasper should never have given him that much to aim at. nightmare. It's one mistake. POSSIBLY two if you think he should have had the reflexes of a cat to claim the loose ball for the first. We chalk it down to a mistake and move on. Doesn't mean we have to drop him or call him shit. If it keeps happening, then sure make a case for Hamer being selected. Our fans seem to want to chop and change players off the back of one game.
Larry_LCFC Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 That was abit embarrassing on MOTD. No idea what kasper was thinking and as for the 53 less sprints stat, I think it explain alot. Can't be arsed to work against lower teams. Our egos have gotten ahead of us again.
